I think you guys are getting a bit insular about this.
in·su·lar 1. a : of, relating to, or constituting an island b : dwelling or situated on an island <insular residents> 2 : characteristic of an isolated people; especially : being, having, or reflecting a narrow provincial viewpoint 3 : of or relating to an island of cells or tissue i don't know if this is an attempt to use a "smart" word or it's just a step away from saying "I think you guys are getting a bit closed minded about this."
I think you guys are getting a bit insular about this. On the widest perspective, more emotion=more character = a deeper personal connection on a human level. I'm not saying you aren't free to have your opinions, I'm saying think about the wider tf2 audience, the people these items are for.
you're not supposed to have a personal connection to a killer robot from the future. not until the sequel anyway. also, the wider TF2 audience cares about being able to paint stuff bright pink so it's in the clear
and why there's nothing for soldier yet.
Who cares anyway

Say what you want I still like the base texture better

typed out a paragraph, phone deleted it, hopefully a sentence is enough
chunky is better than thin, tbh. it wouldnt look right any thinner.
No I realize it should be this thick modelwise, but texture wise I have my doubts about the whole edge being fully bright red
i accidentaly deleted the maidbot files..... i already miss her.. :<
What...
Guys back me up, a group of tards are ranting because they don't know the definition of a tf2 mod
I'd say they are equally acceptable terms, or at least have grown to become such. imo mod is a confusing term as most other uses of it are as changes to the way the game is played. A minecraft mod adds features. Would you call a minecraft texture pack a mod? Maybe. In TF2 notable mods are vs Saxton Hale and Dodgeball. Calling a weapon replacement a mod is confusing when compared to these. Call them models or skins and you remove the confusion. To add to the confusion, not even the content hosts can decide what to call them: http://tf2mods.net/ http://gamebanana.com/tf2/skins/
This has to be one of the most creepy godam item I've never worked on. Does this look convincing to you guys? As in the skin should be open further, revealing more of the skull. As it stands right now, on a glance or from a distance it just looks like a deformed Soldier face if anything. And misc items aren't going to help that if they end up being allowed with it. The skin zip is a great idea, and I definitely think it should stay, but I think the skull is the more important of the two visually.
Who cares anyway
There's this little thing called 'variety' that I think you should hear about.
Here's another one
i accidentaly deleted the maidbot files..... i already miss her.. :<
This is why you save your .blend files on Dropbox kiddos!
Guys back me up, a group of tards are ranting because they don't know the definition of a tf2 mod
Mod = Modification So 'Reskin' would just be a more precise term that falls under it. That's how I see it as anywho.
This is why you save your .blend files on Dropbox kiddos!
This is why you listen to Jetamo kiddos!
I've returned from my Brawl Hacking "vacation" and I had an idea for a possible Halloween outfit for Heavy. I don't have a name for it yet but I would appreciate some feedback on what people think of the idea. PS: I've gotten better with Blender as well.
what is it
An Alien Infected Heavy. It just came to my head.
Hold up, we got an expert over here
Hold up, we got an expert over here
he's correct lol
he's correct lol
He really isn't. A mod is any modification, and a reskin is modifying the visuals of it, ergo it is also a mod.
I am so confused right now. I don't even know if I'm right or wrong now <:L
off topic: Can someone tell me how disney is able to pull this off: http://kotaku.com/5944419/street-fighter-and-sonic-are-selling-disneys-next-big-cartoon
damn bison looks GOOD.
off topic: Can someone tell me how disney is able to pull this off: http://kotaku.com/5944419/street-fighter-and-sonic-are-selling-disneys-next-big-cartoon
they asked Capcom if they could use their characters, and Capcom said they could (probably for a price). There's another amazing movie with a similar premise and the hoops they went through were pretty crazy (for example, WB and Disney characters had to have identical frame numbers and neither could be shown as winning or losing). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who_Framed_Roger_Rabbit It's an amazing movie btw, worth a watch (with kids or without, although I would probably recommend it more for 13+)
