No matter what, making a proper map is fucking hard, but doing it right the first time yeilds great results. That being said, never auto unwrap anything. It always comes out shitty.

alright need some help, in blender im trying to point the materials to use the last breath's texture but i cant becuase when i name the material "pyro_halloween_gasmask" the k is cut off so it cant find the texture [IMG]http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg23/scaled.php?server=23&filename=74264470.jpg&res=landing[/IMG] aka this is what it looks like in blender [IMG]http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg209/scaled.php?server=209&filename=12104400.jpg&res=landing[/IMG]

If you have Notepad++, open up your exported SMD with notepad++, it will list pyro_halloween_gasmas several times (likely hundreds to thousands). Simply do a ctrl+f -> replace -> "pyro_halloween_gasmas" with "pyro_halloween_gasmask" and replace all. It'll replace all the instances apporpriately. Simply save and then compile as normal. It should work, then.

7 to 5... it's actually almost a dead heat, though. I watched the numbers stay even all the way up until now. We shall see what happens. So, Sparkwire said the model I made wasn't chunky enough, it was too thin and long and really didn't seem to belong in TF2. Well, good point; the reason for the length was it was originally for Scout and not Engineer, and the reason for the thin part was a mistake on my part when comparing it to the wrench I was using as my reference (a very tiny 5/32 that sat nicely on my desk while I worked, since my desk is messy). I decide to beef it up, but again I leave the decision to the Emporium: Which is better? [img]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/9500538/wrench-compare.png[/img] Agree for the original thin and long, Disagree for short and chunky. And the few changes I made to the chunky one will be added to the thin one if it wins this vote, but honestly? I think I'm liking the chunky one a bit better.
I'm guessing the chunky one would fit better in the characters hands, as everything they equip is fairly big.

Where do I find the construction PDA .mdl? I can only find the destruction one in the GCF.
