I'm wondering if maybe you should model it closer to Heavy's head, like the Cold War Luchador, and take the puff on the back of the hood and do it more like the Aspect, where it curls down quite a bit, and make the item more misc oriented.
Just thinking Valve might see it looks sort of like a luchador mask and since those are all miscs, they might make a crazy move (or people on the workshop might want it).

They're typically two-handed with a large blade, so making it one handed might bring the proportions out of whack. That said, I could try drawing something up if it'd be useful.

This noted, Heavy is still a big guy with giant hands. Hell, he pumps the shotgun with only 2 fingers. It's not that unheard of for him to swing a 2-handed weapon with 1 of his colossal hands.

that sort of paintability shouldn't even exist imo, except possibly as a style ala Fast Learner. It's weird if colours aren't consistent between items.
