Hi, I got a serious animating problem: Some of my compiled animations seem to have glitch - the weapon_bone starts jiggling around and it kinda ruins the animation. This happens only after compiling - the animations in Blender look just fine. I think that this happens because i messed with the parenting of the bones (in this case I unparented the wepoon bone from the right hand and pareted it back to the left hand for obvious reasosns). I think the Sentry Buster is a deformed Demo.
Also, they could've put a Gunslinger Engy. Instead of having the ability to put mini sentries, it has 50+ health and deal more damage. It just goes around, punching you.
I have been thinking more of a Robotic Engineer carrying a teleporter to move quickly the robots. Or carry like a weak sentry (not a Mini-Sentry).

I find it kinda odd that the special robots wield some of the least tech-y weapons available; The Minor League Scout wields a taped wooden bat rather than the new-ish spiky one or the pristine aluminum one. The Demoknight is based on the medieval Demoman playstyle rather than the original high-tech one. The steel Gauntlet Heavy makes a lot of sense, but the Heavyweight Champ one uses protective gloves when it could have used spiky metallic brass knuckles. All mediguns are admittedly quite science-y, but it's still slightly noteworthy that the two Medic bot types use the two most homemade-looking ones. Finally, the two Sniper bots (who have a wide selection of state-of-the-art rifles to choose from) use a pneumatic gun with tribal adornments and a bow and arrow, respectively.
I'm not complaining, mind you. I assume Valve picked those weapons with gameplay rather than visual sensemaking in mind, and I think that's good prioritization. Still, it's mildly remarkable, isn't it?
So I have no idea how to model and all that, but I wanted to give texturing a try. A friend told me to try "texturing a cube", as weird as it sounds. :v:

Does anyones have any quick tips to get into texture work? I want to help Ronin but I have no idea about the whole UV maps and stuff.
