I may be using the wrong terms for this but an example would be from the League of Legends Champion Kassadin, his sword is what I'm trying to describe, I was wondering if it would be possible to do something like this in Team Fortress with something like the Deus Specs.

You can't make a material that changes when it moves, as the sword there does. You could make an animated texture that mimics the effect however.

So I am currently out of town working for the next few days, but still watching the thread (yay smartphones) so I ask, any other ideas for the Greaser Scout? I would go for a whole pack, but the only other ideas I personally have for weapons are an obviously home made shotgun (from shop class) and a bottle of beer.
Also, for the pack of smokes... how do you feel about a pack of full flavor [I]Lucky Crits[/I] for red and a pack of menthol [I]Twoforts[/I] for blue?
EDIT: just for clarification, I don't mean a zipgun, because that would require new animations.

Yeah. As a lover of cheesy 60s spy fiction (The theme to [I]The Man From UNCLE[/I] is my cellphone ringtone) I've been giving this a lot of thought, but I've found it really difficult to come up with anything. Ideas on the concealed gadgets theme generally end up feeling either overly silly/obnoxious or overly subtle and unnoticeable. Ideas related to the esthetics of such fiction - on the other hand - usually end up too close to the fancy-looking stuff he already has or made impossible by that goddamned balaclava. I'm still thinking about it pretty frequently, though. In the meantime, go vote for these:

I guess it wouldn't be hard to make a server plugin that swaps human player's bodygroup to BLU when they type command in textchat.
After all, we already have a plugin that allows you to play as a robot in PvP.

I would love to see that on just about every server ingame. (The BLU one, not the robot one. Although the robot one is pretty entertaining ingame.) I was just planning on swapping out certain classes for their BLU counterparts if Valve had given MvM a different set of RED skins to read from stored in a different location in the game. Doing that now would just leave me with a half BLU team during normal play.
