You can't get loot from direct-connecting to a server.
You can if you get connected mid-game with the matchmaker, though.

i already knew about the threads but i like to stick to certain ones so i guess i'll just say this here.
last year i went to a different from the public ones and i was pretty much the only boy. throughout the year i could feel these two girls seemed to get really close to me. so the end of the year came yadayadayada and i was going on a new york trip with two of the girls in my class. over the trip one of the girls got super close to me i mean on the plane ride she slept on my shoulder. so now i talk to her everyday and i think she really has something for me but the problem is that i dont really want a girlfriend in till i can get a job. so should i just outright ask her if she likes me or should i jsut wait and see how it rolls out?

My opinion: Wait to see what happens. As you said, you don't want a girlfriend until you get a job. Not much to say about this. So far everything is good, maybe the future will tell.
Anyone know if winning duels has anything to do with your drop rate? Was reading stuff on the wiki and it said that after winning 10 duels something could drop, but I assume that's the same as drops after death or disconnections etc.

Yeah, like the Wiki says, every 10 duels you win, you get an extra drop. A prize for winning those duels. You will receive them like a normal drop.
