The first time I got into a game, I remembered that I had to load a server first to avoid the "Timed out" message. During the waiting, I was convinced it would kick me out but I could enter.

My second favourite thing I love about MvM is that it brings to life again a lot of weapons that are discriminated in the BLU versus RED mode.
The favourite one is obviously the new robot models.
If I idle, using TF2Idle; Will my drop rate be reduced - basically is it worth it?

No, not at all.
It's worth it if you have a ton of idle accounts, less so with like 2-3 (I only use Sandboxie Trial + Laptop Combo for mines at this moment) .
