I just traded some hats for a new Stout Shako, went to equip it and move it in my backpack, and somehow the Sergeant's Drill Hat I had equipped on my soldier vanished. Now it's gone and I've lost a Drill Hat. :saddowns: I mean, I prefer my Shako by far, but I could've used that Drill Hat to trade for something I like. Goddammit.

I haven't found a hat for months, I've only got 4 after hats came out. I've had 2 Sola Topis, 2 Merryweathers, a Tyrannus, a Respite and a Dome Shine. I've got Merrys, Respite and Shine left. I need more hats :gonk:

No. It is still a hat. An event hat. Keep it only for completion purposes. Don't wear it though.

Save it in case Valve decides to let event items be craftable.

Finally.... I have a (good-decent) Hat for EVERY class and all the droppable misc equips too. Woo, and my search for a whiskered gentleman and medic mask too AGES. Burned through a Bill's Hat just for that, and even came out with a purple Hallmark in the end (cost me my bonnet though). Satisfied with hats for now, but I still have 4 dumb crates for trade

[url]http://tf2b.ather-tech.net/?id=Thundermanz[/url] Anywho, giving 2-3 euros so you can open a crate and (probably) get weapon is ridiculous. Valve should give us some other use for them. Or make hat probability in them increased, and make their drops rarer.

Would be better if they just added more crate exclusive stuff other than Unusual items, but not as valuable.

Maybe action badges? They could be used in action slot. Or colored weapons, or maybe particles, then we pick on what weapon/hat we want that particle effect.

Whatever works I guess. All I know is I'm not nearly rich enough to keep buying keys to open my crates.
