That sounds a bit high, considering I've picked up more than 200 weapons from drops and never found a single hat. I guess I'm just extremely unlucky.

Unless they make it hardcore trading where you can only trade for instance a hat for another hat or a weapon for another weapon, hardcore beggars will be there.

Bonnet is meh but the Tyrant's Helm is really good. But I have the Kabuto so I'm not as mad.
And I think the Professional's Panama is superior.

My second best liked hat of the current Sniper hats :3:
Polycount Entry > Trophy belt > Panama > Pith > Bucket > Hatless > Yellow Belt
(Pith is unique looking but has a slightly bad texture, Bucket is fitting but has a terrible texture, Hatless is fitting but is terribly boring, Yellow belt looks out of place and stupid)

It's becoming more and more apparent that TF2 reads the minds of it's players because the scout beanie hat was on my want list only an hour before i got it through an item drop. And I wanted the snipers headband which i ended up crafting a few hours before getting the beanie.
It's either just lucky or it appears having a hat increases your chances of getting another hat. Perhaps.
