8 items a week is way too low. If you are crafting all of them away, it gives you 1 reclaimed and 1 scrap metal. If you were somehow incredibly lucky and able to craft all 54 items you got, you would get a hat in 7 weeks. But it usually takes around 10 weeks, if not more. It's too much to wait 2 and something months to craft a hat. Not to mention you lose all your weapons. My last hat drop was 7 months ago, Officer's Ushanka.

My last hat drop was yesterday, Bonk Helm. :v:

Of course you don't when you have all your weapons. You were probably more lucky than me in random drops. I waited for Huntsman to pop out since February, and when it did, I had to craft it away. And I got Sola Topi, salt to the wound. :frown:

I got my weapons from honest achievements for the most part. There's no "had to craft it away". That's your own problem.

I've crafted a class-specific hat: Tyrant's Helm And these were event hats: Gibus Mildly Disturbing Halloween Hat Bill's Hat Earbuds Mercenary I have 570 hours of playtime. And that's my hat history. :3:

I haven't idled a SECOND since the new drop system came out though, and I got two hat drops and one class craft since then.

So many posts about trading on this damn thread, there is no trading at the moment people! So why almost every 3 posts is saying I want to trade X for Y.

Awesome collection you have going there; is it a result of random drops or smelting?

Trading'll most likely be anonymous- put a hat on offer, put up what you want for it and wait- anything else and servers'll get clogged with trade requests. That's why I don't bother making trade requests, it all seems a bit futile.
