I'm thinking we need a Part 2.
One of the best TF2 videos, ever.
Everytime i hear this song, i picture that bit from spongebob.
Funny, but I expected more.

This is why I :frog: 'd, it's not originally from spongebob, old song.
This is why I :frog: 'd, it's not originally from spongebob, old song.
I don't find it that bad, it's like someone hearing "Night at the Bald Mountain" and other one says "Earthworm Jim!" or "Fantasia!" istead of "Modest Mussorgsky". It's really that bad for you?
This is why I :frog: 'd, it's not originally from spongebob, old song.
yeah, and what? almost everybody here know that song for spongebob
This is why I :frog: 'd, it's not originally from spongebob, old song.
Oh quit being a baby.
yeah, and what? almost everybody here know that song for spongebob
Which was taken down due to copyright.
This is why I :frog: 'd, it's not originally from spongebob, old song.
I didn't say it was, that's just where most people remember it from.
"Also Sprach Zarathustra" is older than most people think, but everyone remembers it as "the song from 2001".
I remember the song from Spongebob too. Wasn't it the first episode?

Tiny Tim - Living in the Sunlight, Loving in the Moonlight

I didn't know that. Why copyright holders are usually so picky/greedy/over-protective about their stuff?

Because taking a hardline approach on your copyrighted property is a necessity if you don't want people to think you're a pushover and start stealing your shit in droves. If you hit the few people who are stealing your shit hard, it'll teach everyone else not to even try it in the first place. It can be a bit of a douche move at times but it's more than necessary if you're serious about holding a copyright on something. You need to protect it regardless of the situation. Even if the copyright holder enjoys whatever media it is that's infringing their copyright, if no permission was granted it's still infringement and still needs to be enforced. Just the way shit works, bro.
And yeah, that video is pretty much 100% true. In fact that's the reason I'm not even bothering to play TF2 this week. Most of it is obsession over the presents and Horsemann, to the point where you can't even get a good game going without it stopping midway through because everyone drops what they're doing to find the gift.
this seems about right.

Seems right to me, but I still think the whole "70/80 years after author's death until it's turned into public domain" rule is a bit abusive, I want classical music from the XIX-XX centuries to be like this. Well, maybe I'm the one being picky here :v:

I think this also helps to let popular culture know about more obscure stuff, thus enrichening everyone's knowing.
This pretty much sums it all up.
Am I the only one who finds the Halloween event just fun as fuck, despite any frustrating elements?

:frog:
I'm gone for four days and I come back to this? I am so confused!
He forgot the part where there's a Scout crouching on the present.
With a FaN.
