It can last a week dude. They've done it before, start news the week before, update news Thur Fri Maybe Weekend then rest of the week until the release day, then release the update.

I don't think they work very hard once they start the release update. All the stuff is finished, the update pages are being made//finished, and apart from some last minute work, everything is ready for launch. They sometimes update the blog on the weekend, but that requires very little work at all.
