How can I convert an image into a VTF file using VTFEdit to make a spray? I keep trying to make a reaction spray, but it doesn't appear when I spray it!

Are you putting it in: steam directory\steamapps\your user name\team fortress 2\tf\materials\VGUI\logos? Is it under 90KB? Is it 256x256 or smaller?

And with VTFEdit you just import the image, press OK and then save it.

If you can't see it check that you have at least 100 decal limit.

You can find this by going to Options > Multiplayer > Advanced

Can you see other people's sprays on the server you are playing on? Because some servers do have them disabled.

It isn't a VTF though, you can covert it through VTFEdit, but if you can't figure out how I'll do it for you.

i got a prob with my spray it wont show up when i import with gmod, css or synergy or TF2

Steps i did to make the file

1 imported it with VTFedit and resized 256x256

2 saved it

3 put it in materials/VGUI/logos/UI

I need help PS. i did it on my other pc but dont remember (and dont say go get it cause the pc is broken)

i have a serious problem when importing sprays.

if i take a spray (correct file format,size and so) and import it, it accepts the spray and doesn't say "image file corrupt" or anything. but when i then click the dropdown menu. it doesn't drop down, i tried putting the spray in the materials/logo folder by hand, still does not work, halp plz :<
