People there are currently distributing and hunting down old recordings of the show, but everyone's wishing there was an official DVD set so we didn't have to go through that business. TV companies are just generally neglectful of their canceled shows and won't make DVDs unless there's massive demand for them.

A) There are plenty of places on the web with thorough information about the Mega Man show, and a DVD set exists
B) This show didn't have an official site, aside from the 2-3-paragraph summary on the original producers' web site, which had been copied word-for-word to Wikipedia and several other places. There was no way for fans to contact each other, aside from delving into Google's results for obscure forums where somebody said "Hey I watched this show once as a kid" and getting contact information from people that way (I actually got a few emails from people doing this before I made the site).
C) Plenty of older shows are having DVD sets made in recent times. The best example is The Mysterious Cities of Gold, which hasn't been on TV since 1983, and which you're too young to remember, and it's now slated to be made into a movie coupled with the release of [b]new episodes[/b] in a couple years, along with DVDs of the original series released. As for the show I've been tracking down, a partial DVD set has been made, so it's more likely than not that we'll see it all out again one day.
