Why?[/QUOTE] Well, one day his house was getting robbed so he ran out of the house with a machete trying to chase after the robber. A police officer happened to be by and my dad ran at him, obviously trying to get some help. The police officer, scared shitless and startled, shot him 3 to 4 times and he died instantly. From what I've been told they tried to cover up the murder but failed and the police officer walked away free and avoided jail time. Dunno 'bout the robbery itself though. I never bothered to really ask my folks about that.

This all happened when I was 4 months old or so, so I barely knew him. And didn't really know the details on how he died until a few months ago.
