The Righteous Bison is probably the best soldier sidearm.
- blankets mobs
- Insanely fast reload speeds (a maxed clip of 12 shots reloads in about a second)
- doesn't run out of ammo
- fires through tanks, letting you use it as a shield while you still hit the mobs behind it
A fully upgraded Bison will allow you to constantly pour on the hurt. I rolled with it as my primary weapon in Mann-Up with great success. Bathe mobs in lasers, use the Direct Hit or Beggar for Single-target DPS.
While we are waiting for the Item Servers to come back I ju-
Just got Archemedies, here's a quick review with some quick pics:
Quality is surprisingly good, very solid and has a bit of weight to it and the legs are sturdy and adjustable.

The code is behind this tag:

I'm really liking the blood splatter design:

For those wondering what the other side of the tag looks like:

I put in the Steam code, but it seems the item server is down, so I'll put that up later when it appears. Oh, also the tag on the bottom says Mann co. instead of Valve. I thought that was pretty nifty.
Mine should be here today then. I ordered it the day they were released a bit early.

They just rang the door bell, left the box by the door, and drove away. USPS
Edit: Btw, the box that it is in is pretty tiny (bird is scrunched inside), so I think they could fit it in the mailbox if they wanted to.
Awh yeah saxxies
bring that shit right on.

Wait, IRL prizes, and SFM categories?! Meaning there might be Replay categories again and my original engine-exploitation idea will work?

Okay, cool thanks.
The AWPer Hand doesn't have a unique kill icon, and its scope doesn't have reflection or anything like that so it's kind of just black.
Also because the CSGO version makes ample use of normal mapping, the TF2 version is very bland and flat looking.
I think this was quickly put together because they saw the demand for a CSGO promo. This is the literal definition of a reskin, it's just a slightly modified and retextured CSGO model :x

A lot of things have just been slapped together lately. It's disappointing. Rather than pressing for quality standards and trying to improve the game, it seems like it's firmly on the backburner aside from the main projects.

Could someone point out the time in this video where he talks about the Saxxies, please?
[editline]oops[/editline]
Nevermind, oops, accidentally found it by pressing randomly :v:
probably would have been better to adapt it to TF2. Remove the bottom loading magazine, and change the grip a bit so Sniper grabs it better. Also change up some of what would be normal maps in CSGO and model them in or add some kind of other details so the item isn't so flat
I think the engi robot should be just like the sentry buster: A pair of engineer legs with a dispenser for body.
Should heal all the robots in one area.
and the weapon is more like a green Machina, probably would have been better suited a reskin for that.
Why do we let Valve get away with the item server crap for weapons, again?
Why do we let Valve get away with the item server crap for weapons, again?
it's imperative now they keep the item server stable, as it could destroy and entire MvM game because you'd lose all your upgrades until it came back.
Maybe they need a system where if the server goes down, it clears all your upgrades, and lets your re-spec everything. It's not a clean way, but it'd let you keep playing MvM without having a huge handicap.

Gabe @ the end: "You'll never get Half-Life 3 if you eat me." Lol.
So, I just checked my Steam inventory, and apparently I got TWO Steam Community betas. I kinda want to give one to someone.

Didn't think it was worth a thread, so I'm posting this here in case some people wanted to try it out; you can set the difficulty of MvM through console, saves the immense effort of putting up a poll to do it. :v:
The command is "tf_mvm_popfile [filename]" where filename indicates the population file you want to use.
The following popfiles can be used:
mvm_coaltown - 6 Waves, starts with 32 Heavyweight Champs and 21 Scouts.
mvm_coaltown_advanced - 7 Waves, starts with 50 Scouts, 18 soldiers, and 22 Heavies.
mvm_coaltown_advanced2 - 6 Waves, starts with 45 Scouts, 20 Pyros, 22 Soldiers, 8 Heavies, and 8 Übermedics.
mvm_decoy - 8 Waves, starts with 48 Scouts, 16 Pyros.
mvm_decoy_advanced - 8 Waves, starts with 3 Giant Pyros, 55 regular Pyros, and 33 Heavyweight Champs.
mvm_decoy_advanced2 - 6 Waves, starts with 6 Giant Minor League Scouts, 36 Heavyweight Champs, and 16 regular Minor league scouts.
mvm_mannworks - 7 Waves, starts with 48 Soldiers, 40 Scouts.
mvm_mannworks_advanced - 7 Waves, starts with 55 Soldiers, 18 Pyros.
mvm_mannworks_ironman - 3 Waves, starts with 2 Giant Heavies, 2 Giant Tanks, 18 Soldiers, 24 Pyros, 12 Steel Gauntlets, 24 Demoknights. (Oh god)
Some of these can be put up simply as advanced or advanced2, but to revert back to normal you have to type them fully.
You can check what spawns on the other waves by taking a quick glance at the pop files themselves.
Also worthy of note is that these can be used on any of the MvM maps, not just their respective maps.
[sp]I hope I'm not late, I just spent about half an hour mucking around with MvM console commands.[/sp]

HOW I BUILD A HEALTH ROBOT?
I can't remember exactly, but does ned have a giant list somewhere of things the community has problems with/things that are broke in TF2? I kind of remember something like that from a few months back.
How difficult would it be to implement the robots on "Grey" team as actual players? Since you actually have to artificially "fill" the server to 32 players (minus 6) it seems like it can be done.
I know I would have a blast playing as a sentry buster or maybe one of the robot demoknights.

I want more robots with wacky forms like in serious sam 2 :v:
Tell me you would laugh your ass off if you see a dispenser running arround.

On scout legs, repeatedly playing double jump lines
"Look at me, ma!"

They didn't even change the model, just the textures
