i found out where the bot killer weapons come from they are in call of tour tickets u get random drops u may get a cosmestic or normal weapon or a bot killer weapon and the rare one gold bot killer weapons
Last match I played I didn't buy any upgrades till final wave, and im doing it again and we're doing fine.
its pretty fun too.
5k cash on disk decoy, 2.6k on wave 4/7 on ctrl+alt+delete so far.

I thought there would be cross faction, but so far it's just RED team vs BLU robots?
Spybot's sometimes genuinely surprise me. They seem to almost work in pairs when possible, moving together like they've got a purpose and place to be.
I've also see them out finesse players in melee battles.

this thing is hilarious and well done. Everything is polished and setup for backpack handling and the sounds are badass.

also I found out the problem with giant red Xs and it's perfectly normal for the bug to happen on walkway. It's simply because the particles ressource is overloaded (like when steel wouldn't start because there were too many models)

It'd be really sad if valve added it to the items schema only for giant deflector heavies to use.
That thing screams goalkeeper from miles away.
Honestly, having used the Deflector Upgrade, the Goalkeeper wouldn't be OP at all.
Due to the Rocket's dodgey patterns, it can be difficult to keep a bead on them since you have to nail the rockets RIGHT in the nose to deflect them.
The only time you can deflect to the point that they can't get a single thing out is if you're RIGHT infront of them, and, let's face it, facing a Heavy point-blank is a losing battle to begin with.
If they did something with the damage output or such, I could see the Goalkeeper being totally balanced (but with a very high skill cieling).

My ideal Halloween update boss would be a huge eldritch abomination outside the map, spitting out smaller monsters (maybe weird versions of the classes, something like lacking a head or having 5 arms).
The reward hat could be a Cthul- I mean, uh, Chulahaloha Mask or something. Maybe throw a Necr- Deadonomicon badge there somewhere.
Bonus points if the map itself is "lovecrafty" (maybe we could finally get a swamp map).

I'm still hoping for that idea someone else suggested at the realization that there's un-used red skins for the robots. That there will be new maps where you'll be playing against a defensive red robot team, as an attacking blue team. Because in this gamemode, the Engineer bots having a too defensive playstyle won't be an issue.
Maybe they should make the Tanks play robot engineer voice files. Taunting you.
I think they should change the skins on the players team to red and blue and also change the robots team to grey or silver skins.
They need to add more slots and add more waves. 12 slots and 16 waves would be better.
I wonder if they'll ever make real bodygroups for bots.
Right now bots can't equip hats that remove their stock hat, because they lack the bodygroups. Bowmen also don't have arrows. Looking into the files, the planned Jarate tossing bot was going to wear the yellow belt, but they commented it out noting it doesn't show up because of his stock hat. So they replaced it with the marauder, which probably clips like crazy.
I only say this because in the future, if more bot types are added, hats will help a lot to differentiate the bots. For example Minor League Scout is easily identified by his bright green shoes and armbands and his batter's helmet. Otherwise, he'd be hard to tell from a distance what his robot class is.
But Scout, Engy (lol), Sniper and Soldier don't have a ton of hats that fit over stock (Engy has 2, Scout and Sniper have 1, Soldier has 3 (if we count hippy hair)), so that doesn't really leave a lot of variety unless we pull miscs in, and even so, quite a few miscs use bodygroups anyway (look at the clipping on Scout bot's green socks).
They wouldn't have to do them all though. Heavy fist, Pyro's head, Sniper's bullets, etc don't need to happen and wouldn't be terribly useful. And unless they plan on a Demo-pirate bot, they don't need his leg region either.

Unfortunately it seems valve are reluctant to mess with the core game for MvM.
I'd like to see the Sleeper Sniper Bot with the trophy belt and croc tooth necklace
FoS Heavy Bot should have the Warhead
GRU based boxing heavies should wear the toss-proof towel and have their pugilist painted Cream Spirit.

The problem is Soldier doesn't have too many miscs that work on bots, and not really any appropriate helmet attachments for crits Soldier. In a perfect world Crits soldier could wear the Team Captain.
Spent the last four hours completing a mission only to find that it didn't count, my ticket wasn't used, and that all the work was only for two people whose tickets had been used up and they got items and one even got a Botkiller weapon because it was his last mission.
I'm unbelievably upset about wasting about four hours of my life. I don't want weapons or pity or anything, I just want my fucking playtime to be counted as such. When I go from wave one to wave six on CPU Slaughter helping out other players and being the best Pyro I can be fighting to the most frantic finish I've ever seen where most of us were screaming into our mics as if that would stop the bomb and we literally finished off the last soldier mid bomb drop animation? I WANT THAT TO FUCKING COUNT BECAUSE I REALLY DON'T WANT TO DO IT AGAIN.
And the sad fact is, it never will. I feel like I've wasted six fucking dollars because it'll never amount to shit since when you complete a mission it doesn't count for you, but it does count for these other guys. I want to refund these stupid fucking tickets Valve sold me that I can't even fucking use to get the fucking things I fucking paid for. And you can't do that. In fact, we all got fucked, and Valve will never do anything to make it better other than say "Well, that's just how the world works. You got fucked, sucks to be you."
Can anyone explain why we LOVE Valve again?

Why can't they make the deflector a real weapon? Its a good idea and if it has a suitable downside then I could see this being used online. Also advanced MvM is severe.

Speaking of voice lines, Pyro should get Robo-Pyro's head and then change Pyro's voice to robo-pyro.
It just seems like a waste, with 90% of these voice lines just not being used at all. I looked at animations too, and the robots have all the necessities in animations (except Scout, he lacks FAN anims). They even all have Saxxy animations, Heavy-Bot even has Sandvich animations.

Just as long as he doesn't use the ones where he references being from the future (since it's clearly the present now) or the fact that it's actually the Soldier (needing a roommate, being uncomfortable in the costume, turning into a robot during fullmoon, etc).
