The most I hope for is it doesn't turn into mideval mode 2.0 And that bot killer weps aren't hard to come by. I'd hope they get cheaper since they aren't like the festive stranges
The most I hope for is it doesn't turn into medieval mode 2.0 And that bot killer weps aren't hard to come by. I'd hope they get cheaper since they aren't like the festive stranges
Medieval mode was very specific in how it was played and made, plus it wasn't all that popular. (On this note, Doomsday was very specific as well). MvM not only has three maps along with the crazy amount of effort put into it, but it's extremely popular. The botkiller weps point is valid, though; seriously, 6 missions just for a reskinned weapon or new cosmetic? I mean, you get 5 other weapons with it, but still.
MvM bot defense; you play as a team of RED bots holding off waves of BLU flesh sacks from destroying your carrier?
I FINALLY BEAT A MANN UP MISSION I'd been playing over ten hours in a single goddamn week, and the satisfaction is just too good for words ohhh man man every single second of my life wasted was absolutely worth it A teammate got a shiny new robot cosmetic, too!
but the soda popper is the weakest scattergun ._. the only reason it's good at doing damage is because of the minicrits. Forcing you to attack first and doing paltry damage with the uncharged SP is asking for it to be worthless scrap. Imagine requiring the Fan o War to do damage to get its boost. It's silly, weapons with low damage outputs shouldn't have requirements of damage output to get a couple second boost. The SP works fine now. It's weak for awhile, then strong for awhile, and it goes back and forth and you have to time attacks right and always keep track of where the recharge bar is.
*adjusts nerd glasses* Actually, it does the same damage as a Scattergun without the mini crits AND it reloads and shoots faster! Basically: If you can get up close and two-shot an opponent with the Scattergun, you're gonna have a good time
The soda popper has less dps than the scattergun, because it has to reload every two shots. [editline]19th August 2012[/editline] Soda popper reloads two shots in 1.23 seconds, while the scattergun reloads two in 1.32 seconds, so it reloads faster, but not that fast

Beat it all again today. Might do another one tomorrow, might not. It's kinda boring now.
OH GOD GUYS WHAT IF ENGIE BOT IS ROBOCOP it's been done and it was balling as fuck
Beat it all again today. Might do another one tomorrow, might not. It's kinda boring now.
You bastard. On another note: I think the Jigglebones on the head are fantastic.
What if later on they added Engie as a sort of "Cash Drop" bot who'd spawn into a wave with a bunch of OP'd out bots surrounding him. He'd wander around the map carrying a toolbox, and when killed he'd drop a couple of "gold" bars that'd quickly dissipate but were worth a bunch. Goddamn valve I just want a cleverly designed engie bot in gaaaaame
strange part: robots killed. we need it. clocks, probably, idk
I want to see an engy-bot as a support class that runs up behind the bomb-bot and turns into a level 1 sentry. As time goes by, it'd upgrade into higher level sentries, making it harder to retake territory if you let the bots push up.
For some reason I can't accept items in trades anymore, Only send them out. Is this some sort of glitch?
Archimedes copies the medic's facial expressions.
have any of you guys that bought your archimedes during that 10 minutes last monday gotten yours yet? i havent :(
have any of you guys that bought your archimedes during that 10 minutes last monday gotten yours yet? i havent :(
I just hope they don't sell out before I get the chance to buy one. Hopefully Valve learned their lessons with Balloonicorn.

Killing it and picking up the wrench grants golden boolets, that turn all killed bots into credits for a bit. I dunno. BONUS MOB IDEA: Scouts with the Dillinger's Duffel. They run away from all enemies, spawn in random spots and regenerate health extremely quickly, but drop credits when hit.
BONUS MOB IDEA: Scouts with the Dillinger's Duffel. I can already see Valve's excuse: there is a set number of credits per wave, adding a random factor to it would break it. To that I say, add a "Bonus Credits" counter. It would even allow support bots to drop credits.
someone needs to make a parachute pack for the soldier so he can safely float to the ground after a rocket jump.

or the bonus bot could be part of the total. Maybe he carriers 50 set credits per wave he appears in, so that wouldn't mess up totals or anything
I think the best way would be to like, have some way of the bots just disappearing without the round ending/losing. Like, a place they've got to get to, it's okay if the supports get there, but not the bomb.

Support bots running back to the tank gate/escaping if the tank failed would be a nice touch.
Heavy bot actually has an animation (I think unused) called "Die simple" where he just jerks a little bit, and hobbles over, like he just short circuited. Could be a way for leftover support bots to go away rather than just disappearing like they do now
