Weird... I can't connect to item server but my items are showing up in game Cant even access my backpack at all
I'm not entirely sure, but I'm pretty sure that they made your CURRENT loadout cache. You can't change it, but you can still use it.
I just came here again to ask you guys something. Make a listen server, play a wave. Is it just me, or do the robots sound like humans for some weird reason?
Your not the only one, I have heard the robots use human voices too for some reason
oh wow, Robro isn't even craftable Buy/Mann Up rare drop only wow... I... wow... I don't like that at all for a community item... that's worse than the 2011 Halloween items...
oh wow, Robro isn't even craftable Buy/Mann Up rare drop only wow... I... wow... I don't like that at all for a community item... that's worse than the 2011 Halloween items...
That is just cruel.
That is just cruel.
and unfair to the many other contributors who have items that are not even close to being that rare :/
I found out the real difficulty of Mann Up mode Sure the queue is short, but IF THERE ISN'T ANYONE IT ISN'T GOING TO WORK
What were they smoking?
Something very potent and expensive lit with 100$ bills.

They didn't want to add nidhogg's items ingame because they were afraid of 10 year old looking into his backpack to see his self-mades and being scarred for life. The second best things they could do was keep him out of the public's eye by making his item rare.
One final note: We discovered a small problem with today's update. If you have replay enabled, the above logic will think replay is a "spectator" and your server will show 7 max players. We'll fix this in an upcoming update.
o you Valve.

I played a game with him and he was swearing at everyone and calling everyone a "faggot". That isn't somebody I want showing up on my company payroll.
You know what Valve should add to customizing bots? Condition attributes. ChaseOnCond ChaseOnNotCond ChaseOnCondSelf ChaseOnNotCondSelf FleeOnCond FleeOnNotCond FleeOnCondSelf FleeOnNotCondSelf FleeAttack [1 to enable] CondStatIgnore [1 for Chase ignoring Flee Condition, 2 for Flee ignoring Chase Condition] CondVisionRange [Default is the same as normal VisionRange] The values would be dependent on the condition numbers. Have two examples.
TFBot { Class Pyro Name "The Havoc" Skill Easy Scale 0.6 WeaponRestrictions MeleeOnly Health 105 ChaseOnCond 22 FleeOnNotCond 22 ChaseIgnoreFlee 1 CondVisionRange 3000 Item "Point and Shoot" Item "The Axtinguisher" CharacterAttributes { "move speed bonus" 1.3 "melee range multiplier" 1.25 } }
So this Pyro would chase after people that are set on fire, since ChaseOnCond is telling him to attack anything set on fire. It will also ignore any players that aren't on fire. However, when no player is on fire, the Pyro will try to stay as far away from them as possible.
TFBot { Class Spy Name "Jaws" Skill Expert Scale 1 Health 125 FleeOnCond 11 FleeOnCondSelf 24 FleeOnCondSelf 25 FleeOnCondSelf 27 FleeOnCondSelf 30 FleeAttack 1 CharacterAttributes { "move speed bonus" 1.3 "melee range multiplier" 1.25 } }
Notice the FleeOnCondSelf being used four times? When any of the conditions is inflicted on himself, he will flee from any nearby players until they wear off. However, since he is set to attack even while fleeing, he'll use the most appropiate ranged weapon while running away. If Valve does add this, it'll expand the possibilities tenfold.
That's more of an AI intelligence issue, the POP files are for specifying WHAT robot you get in each wave and their objective, not their exact behaviour.
Shame. Like I said, the idea would've expanded the possibilities by tenfold. [sp]Maybe if they released files of the bots' AIs...[/sp]
Woah, the hat drop in incredibly high on Mann Up We finished a mission and two Squad Surplus were used, so that's 3x6= 18 items There was 6 hats, one being the Medic Mech-Bag. Heck I even got the Pencil Pusher, maybe it is worth a ticket after all. Plus it was really fun and people were nice.
It seems more and more that when you Mann Up, it's not for the items, it's for a better group of people who I suppose incidentally want to win so they get their items. Either or.
Pop files can modify the bots behaviour from the default, such as:
BehaviorModifiers Idler // if specified, sets this bot's initial behavior. Allowed values: // Idler (stands around idle until a player gets close or injures them) // Mobber (picks a random player and chases them down, regardless of where they run)
It is only pre-set but I don't see a reason why they can't add more modifiers.
Shame. Like I said, the idea would've expanded the possibilities by tenfold. [sp]Maybe if they released files of the bots' AIs...[/sp]
Meh, the AI is good enough for the purpose they serve, they're meant to be a mindless horde and a mindless horde they do emulate.
Hi, what happend in Tf2 world for last 3-4 days? Just couple updates?
I'm glad that the TF2 team has started doing a lot more updates and ESPECIALLY a lot more blog posts since the Great Update Drought of 2012.
Bit of old news, but I had my fingers crossed that the Pyro would have gotten at least one of the items with the Sleeping Dogs Promotion. Dammit, Valve.

Either or.
Absolutely, yeah. I'm afraid to use my last ticket and end my tour, but endurance mode sounds really intriguing! On another note, do any recently suffering NVIDIA users notice a difference with this new patch? Steam Support just emailed and told me to do yet another re-installation today with the cloud off, maybe they finally figured it out. edit: NOPE. Guess our insanely long back-and-forth still isn't over.

And, no I'm not happy about the Robro, either. I'm also kinda ticked it's so expensive. Archimedes and the Balloonicorn are part of the lore and mythos of TF2, and would sell even if it were like $20. Ours just kinda popped up and it's much more expensive, which doesn't seem right or fair.
C'mon, the sign looks good.
It's a two handed objector with a neon sign on it. Not that special.

Those look pretty badass. I know Sleeping Dogs has some dlc; maybe they can do another promo with Valve and have the items awarded to players who buy the DLC like Hero Academy?
