My guess is everyone wants to work on DOTA 2 since it's the only non-shooter/similar first person game the company has ever worked on.

Will we see a revival of the, 'I got something you want, and you've got something I want so lets make each other happy' method of trading I've heard about existing pre-spreadsheet? Right now we have an economy in which supply and demand is partially irrelevant because the demand is the supply, and the vast majority only want something because it's rare. Despite the fact that the Max Head and Buds both look pretty lame compared to, say, Medic's Mountain Cap yet that cap is only worth a fraction of the price because it's much more common. Now of course supply should definitely be a factor, but to the best of my knowledge the desirability of an item based purely on its aesthetics causes at most a negligible difference in price.

Generally when something is the most popular of a thing like the spreadsheet is for pricing, It is hard to displace. The only counter-example I can think of is TF2 Outpost replacing Trade Post.
