It seems likely the load due to said CS:GO update going live may be to blame.

It's only 16mb?

New update system, I assume.
But why would it be high-load then?
Mwhahahahaha, Now is the perfect time to execute my evil plan. I'm gonna be a villain and use my Short Circuit to destroy the Birthday Mode beach ball on any server I join this week...
I wonder what engineer hats and miscs I should wear to look like an evil mastermind?
Who owns the Spooky Scary Skeletons song anyway?
What if it gets used ala Do you believe in magic?
did they remove the flacial flexes on archimedes?

are you using high quality heads?
But why would it be high-load then?
There's about 30K people playing it (with a 48K peak), so it'd make a small dent.

i don't think sooo...?
hwm heads? no
It would be really cool if The Director came back as an alternative voice for the Administrator in a new MvM mission, to enact his revenge against the mercs. He could have lines like: "Lights, Camera, Action!" when the robots spawn, or "Beautiful! This is Hollywood gold!" when you're losing.
I'm surprised that "A new announcer" hasn't been thought of sooner. Maybe some rival against the Administrator or some dumb thing. Maybe let us choose which one we prefer in-game.
Birds in game are so fucked up anyway. They do 360s, movel ike crazy and finally are inside out inside the arm.
I can only enjoy the Bird Man of Abbeden and Archimedes without jigglebones; but my other items with jigglebones works fine. Valve, why aren't you fixing this? It's a real issue.

Saxton Hale as an announcer

About that I don't find any video which showcases how archimedes works.
Okay nevermind I FOUND IT

Dota 2 had updates not too long ago, so our chances of something tonight are somewhat boosted.
Speaking as someone whose family has had birds as pets for years, the idea of Archimedes - or any bird - sometimes slipping from one's shoulder in trying to keep balance while the person they're perched on is moving is not unrealistic.
From a technical standpoint that is still a glitch, but even knowing that I'd be partially willing to write that off as almost realistic behavior.

I love how Archimedes' eyes close when he's happy, it's just SO ADORABLE! <3
Bang on.
We're working on a mandatory update for TF2. We should have it ready soon.

In all my years of biology, I haven't heard of a pigeon that was capable of mimicry. Why would Valve make Archimedes capable but the Birdman of Aberdeen incapable?

goddamn this makes me want an archimedes even more :/
THANKS ERIC
wonder if bug fixes only, or maybe some enhancements and more cosmetic sort of fixes.

I just hope they iron out some of the bugs in mvm and make some changes too, hopefully stopping the bots from deploying the bomb when ubered

Plushie Archimedes sold out the day before I was about to try and get one with the rest of my birthday money.
All of my why.

What makes it so much worst for me is that Valve actually made a 100% factual joke during MVM

As a Bio-Chem graduate, This conflicts me so much...

Im glad im not the only one saying that MvM needs changes to be less frustrating.
Despite how much players or SPUF says its fine the way it is, theres still a lot of people who are right.
Maybe a new hat?
Doubtful it's just bug fixes, there's the party mode that needs to be activated.
I'm having a biochem exam this september, I'm shitless scared (just 1/5 of passed exams last time), and I'd like not being reminded of that.
Anyway, pigeons have a sense of self, as seen in corvids, parrots, dolphins and apes. No vocal mimicry or facial muscles, but it IS adorable.

Whose to say Medic isn't imitating the bird, huh?
