Gnarf, I've posted the link several times. ;-;

Is it possible to make the caber taunt a kill taunt?
it's very possible, just not something any of us can do
Is it possible to make the caber taunt a kill taunt?
Only if Valve decides to.
But, you know, being Valve, they'll never do it.
Pyro's head bodygroup seems broken again. On death my aspect reverts back to a clippy pyro head/aspect combination

So it's right up there with fixing the Loch n Load?
kinda funny how both are in the same weapon pack.

Warrior's Spirit broken model (is fixed now)
Crossbow lacks sounds and a projectile
At release 0 items in the update had a kill icon
Amputator could use a custom taunt sound
Basically just Brass Beast and some of the Fancy/Nasty weapons holding up that update. It's still one of the not great updates of TF2 though
from the description it feels like
the caber's taunt was meant for neo's bottle
it's almost like they missed
when they hit the give taunt button

And a downside.

Oh I'm sure, I'm not saying the weapons arent good, just how that the loch n load has a very broken model and has not been fixed and that a weapon that seems like it oughta have a kill taunt doesn't have the coding to have such. And that there's no real discernible reason for not fixing these two errors aside fro laziness or disinterest is just a little irksome
Strange thing is, I never actually noticed how the LnL was broken until I downloaded a fix from gamebanana

I think taunting for an effect counts as a downside.
I have seen many a taunt-healing medic scream in futile rage at the sight of an approaching spy.
If the Gunboats get a custom sound, so should the Flip Flops! I could see that being funny. Also Ned, have they accepted the community schema before?
Sorry for being late on these questions, btw.

That's more of a psychological thing. Besides, the Amputator gives you the option to heal surrounding teammates (doesn't even affect disguised enemy Spies) without any other cost. Does the Bonesaw have that option? No.
The Amputator could at least have less damage or crit damage being mini-crit...

They accepted about 80% of schema 1

The default bonesaw has no effect on taunt. The AoE heal is completely optional and at the user's discretion.

I would not compare medic weapons to the bonesaw. The bonesaw is a time capsule from another era.
The Amputator fills its roll: it heals in an AoE. The ubersaw rewards melee combat, the oath provides a neat passive buff and the bioshock saw confuses me greatly.

But there's more incentive to taunt if it has an effect, resulting in taunting more often

Stopping to taunt with the Amputator means you're both a stationary target and no longer charging Uber and providing overheal. Those are the downsides for using it's effect.

You can do pretty much the same thing with the Bonesaw, but guess what? It has all of those downsides, minus the healing.

Those are also downsides of taunting with literally every weapon in the game... Including the bonesaw
I wonder if it's a bug or an intended feature that when you finish a Tour of Duty that both the Botkiller weapon and the drop you get for completing the last mission would have the same item level. I know the Botkiller is intended for that feature (whatever tour number you're on), but I wonder if the other drop is bugged
And that makes me wonder if these item levels will go over 100

But there is zero reason to taunt with the normal bonesaw
But there is zero reason to taunt with the normal bonesaw
Exactly.
If they gave the Bonesaw the ability to do the AoE taunt, and make new stats on the Amputator (that is not either a straight upgrade, or a one-sided situational weapon (ala Pain Train)), then there is a reason to taunt with it.
Seriously, it's like the Milkman/Croc-O-Style sets: You're not wearing a hat? Well fuck you, you can't have additional health/being able to not instantly die from headshots.
Putting that situation into the Amputator: Oh, you're taunting? Well too bad you don't have the Amputator so you could've healed nearby teammates!
And guess what, you can not taunt with the amputator too. But on the off chance you do taunt, it's still an upgrade.
Picture this: you're a Medic with some teammates capturing a point. Most of them are injured.
Bonesaw: you don't taunt and run around, healing teammates on the point with your Medigun, building Uber, and avoiding enemy fire, and live.
Amputator: you taunt to heal your teammates, but get sniped by a Sniper because you're standing still.
Of course you can have the Amputator equipped and still NOT taunt, but you are still more inclined to taunt since you can heal a lot of people at once, having the Amputator gives you the option to use its effect but it also gives you the mentality that you are able to use its effect but become vulnerable. It's really more of a psychological downside than something "physical" in-game.
EDIT: It's kind of hard to explain this, since the nature of the attributes are so unlike any other weapon in the game, but what I'm trying to say I guess is that it's more of a mental downside than an actual "-20% something" downside.
Those are also downsides of taunting with literally every weapon in the game... Including the bonesaw
Yes, but in those cases taunting isn't tied to anything aside from a purely aesthetic action. It's the same reason that in order to activate 'Mmph' or drink bonk you need to take a second or two to stop moving, play the animation, and reap the effect. This means that in that time you can be killed before the potentially lifesaving action is initiated.
Medic's ability just plays more into his primary gameplay mechanic of healing others, where as with Scout it's survival and Pyro it's [del]horribly executed weapon design[/del] ambushing.
This discussion is irrelevant anyway because both sides are too entrenched in their respected opinions to get anywhere and will likely descend into a shouting match.

Make it drain 1% UberCharge upon taunting.
There, now you are no longer inclined to taunt.

you can do the former with the Amputator but you can't do the latter with the bonesaw
