Are you saying they added those to the beta?
Pigeon and dove tend to be used as interchargeable terms, and, if you decide to get anal about it, doves can be considered a subset of pigeons.
Oh, darling, tell me more.
Can someone please explain to me who the fuck Dr. Grordbort is and what media he's involved in?
Dr. Grordbort is a space-big-game hunter that uses rayguns to kill space animals for sport. (At least, that's my understanding.)
He's used in promotional media for Weta workshops' line of replica/model rayguns.

But, does he actually have any games/comics/shows etc.?
I don't see how a character can exist solely through promotions of himself in other media.

He's kind of the "Saxton Hale" of a line of Steampunk style replicas. Which is a subsidiary of the company "WETA" which has done special effects on lots of things (i.e Peter Jackson's King Kong).

Here's their website.

I thought there was more to it than that...
Hmph. Okay.

You should see all the stuff they have on there, it looks real awesome.
The DR has 6 seconds of damage resistance. I'd say that's enough, getting through chokepoints may take longer. And, a damage cap... I like to defuse sticky traps for my team, AND jump across the map on the process. Please don't.
I like it overpowered so it must stay this way :downs:

"Victory" and "Triumph" are comic books that feature him in his ongoing adventures. Not sure about triumph, but I think victory had him on venus at some point.

Also, if you're going to have a debate about the amputator again, keep in mind that on top of having no coded downsides, it has a set bonus. i don't know about you guys, but that's why I use it.

And in case you haven't used it in a while, the taunt also lets you heal yourself. Perfect for those days you just can't go around taunting with your kritzkrieg.
Pretty sure you're talking about Lord Cockswain and Dr. Grordbort's is just the laser guns' brand
The "enemies can see the medics health when using the solemn vow" seems like the perfect nerf imo. Subtle, fair, ironic.
>everyone can see the health of the class who is number 1 priority to kill
HOLY FUCK ARE YOU GODDAMN RETARDED? THAT'S LIKE SAYING "HEY EVERYONE I'M NEARLY DEAD SUICIDE RUSH ME AND RUIN MY 99% UBER!"
Seriously, it's mind boggling how you can think this idea is good. Everyone who isn't the medic gains a bonus for the medic equipping an item.
holy wow. Why is the Manmelter almost 700 dollars from Weta.
Good lord.
They're hand crafted out of actual metal, the detail is amazing and they come from a company that makes lots of collector's items. I got a miniature of one of their ray guns, even when it's 1/3rd of the size the detail is amazing and it weights a lot for it's size.

heh
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbidae
Pigeons and doves are the same thing.
I always called "pigeons" to what is normally found in cities: normally grey-coloured birds that have well-visible ceres over their beaks (Feral Rock Pigeons and Domesticated Pigeons); then "doves" (like the Eurasian Collared Dove) to the somewhat smaller birds with no big ceres that you can also find of cities; both being inside Columbidae. But the names seem to be interchangeable, so yeah, pretty much.
In Archimedes' case, in my point of view he's an all-white domesticated pigeon, but if people say he's a "white dove" it's ok :v:

I doubt there'll be any pre-order items.
Valve and Edmund seem to have a good relationship, it's struck me as odd that there's been no items at all for SMB, Isaac and now the BC.
Edmund McMillen beard for the Medic, comes in too many styles for your body to handle.
I would like some sort of smb item, Dr Fetus helmet for the pyro orr something

They teased that they would make a tf2 item for wrath of the lamb, but nothing ended up coming from it.
Haven't been here in awhile, anything interesting happening in TF2 at the moment? Any hints for incoming major updates or something..?

Not much happening.

Secret diary is still unknown.
Secret diary is still unknown.
That's because it's a secret.
It wouldn't be so secret if we knew what the purpose of it was, now would it?

Not so secret secret diary.
So.......as far as speculation...... Anyone think Valve would ever consider putting an "unusual mystery box" in Mann Co shop for like $100 with a guaranteed random unusual? And maybe a 1% chance of getting a very simplistic but decent looking all-class hat (think modest pile of hat) with the ability to set the "style" to choose any unusual effect, and just change whenever you want, similar to normal styles.
I can't decide if, at $100, it would drop unusual price or not. Or if it really matters.
I still want that Flyswatter.

Make it $20, fuck unusual prices. Then again, that would probably drop key sales.
Hopefully Flyswatter has somewhat unique stats, though personally if they don't it'd probably be a reskin of that "speed whip" weapon that speeds mercs up when Soldier slaps them across the ass.

The Equalizer?
The Equalizer?
Nope, Disciplinary Action apparently; the kinkiest weapon in Team Fortress 2. Combine it with a Battle Bob dyed "Pink as Hell" or "Australium Gold", and you have the campiest Soldier in Mann Co; camper than George Michael.

That actually could work as a reskin.
(A reskin actually being good? What a rare thing.)
