Probably. The scale only affects the playermodel. Ragdolls and company are still normal sized. If you kill a boss with a grodbort weapon, they magically shrink back to their normal state.
No, I mean like the size of M&M pieces, not normal-sized robot heads.
spy in mvm is pretty silly sappers remove themselves after a few seconds, which isn't the case in pvp. The sapper hud for it is really badly done. The red-tape doesn't seem to do anything special. And for some reason you can "backstab" sapped bots from any angle. unupgraded backstabs literally do 0 damage on giants, even though the "pierce armor" upgrade says it only "increases effectiveness" and finally, those lovely soldier bots lead you perfectly even when you are cloaked with any watch. Invisible? Fuck that, here's a rocket.
I still like it, but I play with dead ringer. He's very good for taking care of medics and snipers, who otherwise can cause a lot of issues for teammates. When you've fully upgraded his backstab speed and armor piercing, you can backstab giant robots down to half health before they turn around. Good tip though: Always max out your run speed as Spy the first thing you do.
I'm fairly sure I had a bug in the first few days of MvM where every few games the robots would Gib, it absolutely fucking obliterated my FPS.
I would like to see class specific bot heads on the bot-killer weapons.
if that's not possible they could add more unique damage to the head like sniper and demo's botkiller's Like a charred or scorched head for pyro, or a head with a massive bat induced dent in it for scout....or the entire lower jaw missing because it took a crocket to the chest.
May I suggest something to speculate that may have already been speculated before? What stats would the lazer primary for Medic have? Just another Bison?
May I suggest something to speculate that may have already been speculated before? What stats would the lazer primary for Medic have? Just another Bison?
Valve would probably not do that. I think most of us agreed that making the Pomson a bison reskin would be the best balance, but you know what they did, instead. So they'll probably make it do like "-10% reserve ammo on hit" or some other bullcrap, then eventually make it not penetrate as well.
Valve won't even make the Pomson a Bison reskin, even if that'd probably be the best course right now for it. It'll probably do something dumb like slow enemies
Speaking of gibs, does anyone else get tiny robot head gibs, regardless of what the bot's scale actually is?
It's an intended feature. Where else is the spy going to get the tiny heavy head?
So they'll probably make it do like "-10% reserve ammo on hit"
Actually, that's not that bad, sided with a damage penalty.

Well that's not very nice at all.
I'm just caremad that people still smugly proclaim they use XP in 2012. I could have been nicer but effort. My point still stands that if you refuse to use Windows Vista/7/8 in 2013 you deserve to get all the infections that will inevitably happen. e: lol @ lurker poors voting me dumb.
I know I'm bringing back a conversation from a few pages back, but what exactly is it about DX8 that gives people so much performance? I remember it being something to do with phong and if it is why not just boot up DX9 and get a no phong model pack? I believe that right now DX8 is a serious bottlekneck for the Orange Box engine and is what is keeping valve from upgrading to CSGO (or whatever game)'s engine. I know it sucks to have to move up a few DXLevels and lose some performance, but in the end it's probably going to end up being better for all of us. Besides, there could also be other benefits too like using the DOTA 2 cosmetic system (I've seen you all bring that up many times) and having less bugs to fix every Major Update (Ex: Fire texture with dx8 on X item, crash when certain item is seen with DX8 on, etc.)
How would you feel is non-strange silver Botkillers were random drops in MannUp mode? Someone on SPUF posted a thread about it, and I think it's a good idea. Actually, a really good idea. But I suppose if you've been with me long enough you know I always lean towards the side of "more widely distributed items are better for everyone"

Do you think more official mvm maps will be made?
Do you think more official mvm maps will be made?
Along with more Special Delivery maps yes. The question is, will we see them in our lifetime.
Do you think more official mvm maps will be made?
There has to be. I mean they can't just make it "RED vs. Machines" throughout all maps, especially since they had blue team fighting alongside the red team on the MvM trailer. (I'm going to be wrong and they'll release more MvM defense maps.)

If you're GUARANTEED something of greater value, they're basically worthless. It's like, "oh, a Botkiller Rocket Launcher. That's nice, but I'm GUARANTEED something better than this, so... yeah" Make the Strange Silvers drop randomly (in Mann Up) and Gold ones guaranteed only after a tour.

But I suppose if you've been with me long enough you know I always lean towards the side of "more widely distributed items are better for everyone"
I dislike this because it adds a whole new "set" which those of us with weapon collection completionist OCD will have to try to get. Right now we have to get the silver set, and eventually the gold, if there were strange and non strange versions it just gets to be too much of the exact same, but which is still needed for a "complete" collection. It's like the unavailability of the festive bat. It's the main reason I've just sworn off all festives, and it still bugs me. I'm hoping for a return (and thus, drop in rarity) of the festives, and strange festives, this christmas. Probably won't happen though, since valve favors traders so much. The one thing that gives me hop is that certain normal stanges have been re-released in current crates, after they came and went in the very first crates. We shall see. Anyway, point is, I'd rather not see whole new versions of botkiller weapons, I would, however, be quite happy to see a substantial drop in rarity. Say, all silver botkiller weps at 1-2 ref each, and gold ones at several keys each. Maybe if they gave silver ones for every (non-hat) drop after each round, and gave guaranteed gold ones at the end. Also, after having this drop in rarity, they should add botkiller secondary weapons (which is different than adding more versions of the same thing). This would prevent a complete over-abundance and worthlessness of both silver and gold botkiller weapons.

Make like a tracer or something.
That's not a bad idea actually... Make like a tracer or something.
A tracer the spy gets to place on engies? Ooooohooo.....sounds interesting.
Just finished my first tour of duty and got frikin gold botkiller scattergun. And valve should fix those jigglebones

The Stun mechanic has been there since the Scout Update. I wouldn't mind being stunned. Rather that then losing Uber. And it would work like the Mangler. And look how those concept particles are so distinguishable from the current ones. I hope the next Grordbort weaponry shipment won't be infected with the Pomson Syndrome.
I dislike this because it adds a whole new "set" which those of us with weapon collection completionist OCD will have to try to get.
it's the opposite for me. I have weapon OCD, but not for their quality, just the actual weapon itself, so having a cheaper, non strange variant would allow me to complete my collection that I will never fill now because of how stupid hard it is to get all the botkillers.

since we haven't had an update this week, it seems to me they believe they have tackled the major bugs of MvM that required instant attention. Now we'll probably slowly go back to secondary sort of bugs, and more minor changes. Probably tomorrow.
