...around however long it took for Quantum Conundrum promos to be tradable?

That means we should wait some more days and we'll get them.

That's not really a fair estimate, there must've been something wrong with why they didn't make them tradeable for a month.

Just because it's nice to have a cheese pizza every now and then doesn't mean that toppings are a bad idea, know what I mean?
servers can already run a 100% stock weapon server. The ones that run now have a hard time even getting enough people to make running the server worthwhile.
I know it's fun to hate on unlocks, but without them quite a few classes get kind of stale.
I really hope Valve takes more from this year's NotLU. There's some real spectacular stuff this year.

We're going to see some rib-roaring stuff this Halloween, no bones about it.
So...what do we speculate about now?
There's one theory regarding MvM that I really like: the Administrator knew about Gray Mann from the start, and the entire game up until now has been her pitting the mercs against each other to hone their skills so they can defeat the robot menace.
I like this idea just because it means The Administrator of all people is the greatest hero in the Team Fortress universe.
I wish the other NotLU was implemented. Hopefully the TF2 team listens to this one.

Watch them implement the last NotLU for this year's event, and the NotLU from this year gets used next year.

They won't.
I went on two different servers and the Shortstop had it's original reload speed, I didn't think that it was possible. Then I went on another server to find out it was just a plugin .__.
That's one of those things where the original reload was too quick, but now it's fine but the animation doesn't work right.

Oh, Valve.

Wasn't it also supposed to slow players?
They really half assed the Shortstop didn't they? And yet it's still a pretty good weapon.

Yea it slowed players when it was first released. But not. "[Undocumented] Removed the (non-functioning) slowdown effect from this weapon."
shortstop's slowdown was only noticeable on mid-air targets
hit them and they drop like flies. Literally.

halloween, saxxies, smissmass

Slow down never functioned, so no
Valve themselves said it did not do anything at all.

I think that the removal of the attribute is good enough proof.
It's somewhere in the spuf archives from 2 years ago. I'm on my iPad now, so searching is less than adequate. I have seen it mentions a few times in my searches, but nobody bothered to repost the email

this is the only vid I could find about it. That scout drops down unusually fast in a weird angle.
anyway whatever

The Administrator knew. Her job is to keep Zephaniah's miracle gravel (Australium) a secret, and to make sure Gray Mann never gets his hands on it.
The Gravel Wars were her/Elizabeth's way of accomplishing that. A pretty efficient way to do so, when you think about it.
Besides, Mann Co. is a division of the company she Administrates.
It's not only where she gets her funding, it's where all the weapons, hats, rockets, and other useful stuff to gather and protect Australium come from.
If Gray died, she'd be obsolete. I mean, she'd still control TFIndustries, but the entire purpose of the company would be gone.
Luckily, Gray built his own copies of the Red/Blu mercenaries. The only difference is that his happen to be made of metal, rather than flesh. The Administrator just needs to make sure they keep fighting, and she's golden.
Bottom line, she's only doing her job. Which happens to be subjecting the main characters to suffer unspeakable deaths for eternity. That strikes me as, like, satan-level evil.
(also, yeah, i know this is a pathetically thought-out. what can i say? i recently time-lined all the story out of curiosity, and now it's permanently in my brain. i am not proud of this.)
I hope one day they just add an auction house in-game because it seems like a no brainer.

Even though it's technically evil, it's a necessary evil for preventing the last Mann from using the Australium to do something dark and terrible.
Also, even though it's a silly canon, what part does Merasmus the Wizard have to play in all this; is he part of a secret Wizard faction or what? If so, maybe he seeks to use the Australium to increase the power of the Wizards, or at least his own power. I wonder, if they do an MvM-stylee event for Halloween, hopefully with a variety of monsters, Merasmus is behind it and we actually get to fight him as a boss.

And here we have this positively magnificent Stout Shako. Imported from the distant lands of Teufort, this beauty is in absolutely pristine condition, not a single wearer! The lovely gentleman who supplied this gorgeous specimen, xX420D3M0P4N420Xx, has suggested we begin this round of bidding at the starting price of two refined.
