For community created weapons, Valve should maybe do this
First, add some good stat concepts to TF2beta and announce:"hey community guys, here are some base stat ideas for some new weapons, create concepts and models based on them and the best fitting model gets picked"
that way contributors aren't forced to make items generic enough to fit generic stats for a chance to get in-game, plus it adds some extra interaction between Valve and the community

Valve already has contact with well-known community contributors and they use that contact well enough (Triad Pack), but I do agree, I'd like to see some use for the beta.

So I made a video about 2 apparently scrapped MvM entities

The first one (tf_bot_npc_decoy) seems to be a harmless decoy of the player using it. It has the same weapons equipped and almost always runs in a line for ~5 seconds before dissapearing. Not really sure of what valve intended and which class uses it. The best part about it is the incredible potential for a new spy watch.
The second one (tf_bot_npc_archer) is valve's attempt into making a bowman its own entity like the horsemann. It has very specific although strange behaviors. Seems like valve simply went ahead with using a normal bot with the huntsman instead.
I'm optimistic we might see the [URL="http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=73814273"]15 minute of flame set[/URL] in a future update. Doesn't even need to be said that the soot suit would sell like crazy if it was ever added, valve have probably seen it too. So for them not to add the suit alone tells me they might want to add the whole set. Could deffinetely see the hat, suit, and mic getting in as 3 piece set.

Are the decoy bots actual bots? It looks like they don't have any collision groups nor do they have any hitboxes to register hits (as seen with you trying to stab them and no hit sound being produced).
I think they are, because the console changes the tickrate when they're spawned. Plus, one of my decoys randomly turned around and fell into the water, so they probably use bot navs.

seems they're testing some interesting new cloaks behind the scenes. I think dispenser disguise and the decoys will both be new cloaks.
Actually really interesting and fun to use cloaks.

To be fair, he hasn't really worked on TF2 for a long time. He's pretty much working on the steam platform itself. He hasn't followed anything about MvM, and he only told me about that piece of code last night. We pretty much both saw/tested it for the first time in the video.
I know alot of people think "valve made a game, so they know 100% of said game", but unfortunately it doesn't really work that way. Most of the employees are working directly off the work of another employee who moved on to another project, and these "transitions" can happen multiple times for a single aspect.
This may be one of the main reasons why things like hats or critglows can seem very inconsistent. The reason being that it's not always the same 1 dude doing it, and the "new guy" assigned to it may not exactly know as much as the last.

I already whack every building I see for fun anyway, I don't think I'd have a hard time adjusting to this at all.
If the dispenser feature is added, all I would do is sit next to a sentry and see how long it takes the Engineer to realise they haven't even built a dispenser
It really has a possibility for evil though, when you think about it. Imagine being on 1hp, seeing a dispenser, turning your back to it and thinking you are safe, but suddenly it runs away. Creepy.
I'm still waiting for more James Bond Gadget style items for the Spy
I love Ambassador/Red Tape Recorder/Sharp Dresser because it feels like a true bond set.
Like the amby is his signature weapon, and cuff links that are really knives and a tape recorder that can be stuck to walls and reverse buildings
Hell, even the spycicle kind of makes sense, like a big fight scene where he manages to kill the evil russian henchmen with a icicle.

maybe a monster that's sniping outside of the map and people have to do an objective without getting wrecked by it

I had an engineer and a scout stand next to me thinking I'm a genuine dispenser. I could understand the scout, but that other guy was the only engineer on his team.
It was really creepy. But still funny as fuck.
