Summary of events that have happened during the 1h (D)DoS on Facepunch: <nothing!> Because nothing happened, have a status check on those subpar XCOM promos:
C'mon, Reward 2! Stop at 99% before the game gets released to cause massive drama!
I agree, but they did say that the events of MvM were "sometime in the future" so Valve can easily go back and forth in the timeline just as Valve added the Doomsday map this year based off of the Poopy Joe story from 2009.
Exactly! Just segregate it, make a blog post saying everything multiplayer happens pre-Mann brothers murder and everything Co-op happens post-Mann brothers murder and anyone who gets all complainy and nitpicky just go, "C'mon, dude. Don't be that dude, dude."
So is tonight a bug fix night? A special night? Might be just a night. Night. I love the word. Has a nice ring to it.
So is tonight a bug fix night? A special night? Might be just a night. Night. I love the word. Has a nice ring to it.
Due to the recent blog post, I don't think there's much reason to expect anything major until Halloween.
A patch almost certainly tonight. On SPUF they promised a patch to fix losing Mann Up rewards when the item server goes down when you win, so we know that's coming, plus they'll probably (hopefully) fix the infinite hat bug, and maybe some other bugs people have been bringing up (such as the SD, CSGO and Awesomenaut promos not being tradable).
Dreams of Manniversaries... Weaponized Manniversaries while we are at that, from August until December last year it was cosmetic & reskin time; heck, we didn't quite recover from that until Pyromania.
Kinda late but I used to think Legion was just a brain. And while I wasn't exactly wrong... it's much more fucked up than just spooky.
Legion?
Legion?
wrong thread
plus they'll probably (hopefully) fix the infinite hat bug
someone hates fun. I get it's a noteworthy bug but the only argument against really desiring it to go away is possible performance issues and personal preference. edit: don't get me wrong, it's absolutely silly and pretty dumb I just thought the "hopefully" was weird. no offense, ned.
Wasn't Segab working on potential promos for Jet Set Radio HD? Has he heard back from Sega about it yet?
Gamemaster sent the email weeks ago but they apparently didn't receive it. They got us resend the email yesterday, they're looking onto it.
I think a version of sd_doomsday that is deserted and everything is run down and derelict would be cool as a halloween map. Maybe even with the ghost of Poopy Joe in the workshop. But I would have no problem if it is more MvM stuff. Would be cool. Though I like the theory that the ghost hands are hinting at something related to Engie's lost hand. Imagine a huge hand boss that turns into the Gunslinger in MvM. Haha.
A version of SD_Doomsday with nobody playing it? That already exists, man. It's called SD_Doomsday.
Due to the recent blog post, I don't think there's much reason to expect anything major until Halloween.
Second Manniversary?
Second Manniversary?
Wouldn't this be the third? Or am I being asinine?
Wouldn't this be the third? Or am I being asinine?
2010 - Mann-Conomy 2011 - First Manniversary

Sooo much fun, I can't contain myself. [editline]13th September 2012[/editline] that's double when I switch between Sniper and Heavy, because they share a Triad Trinket on my loadouts also.
A version of SD_Doomsday with nobody playing it? That already exists, man. It's called SD_Doomsday.
Shame really. tdm_doomsday is a great map.
Really hoping they add the baleful beacon this time. [editline]12th September 2012[/editline] I really don't like the whole status quo change, and I hope they get back around to RED and BLU fighting again.
Well the way it works canonically at the minute is that when you're playing a gamemode other than MVM you're actually playing before the events of MVM happened.
Well the way it works canonically at the minute is that when you're playing a gamemode other than MVM you're actually playing before the events of MVM happened.
Unless of course you use your Botkiller Wrench on 2Fort :P
Unless of course you use your Botkiller Wrench on 2Fort :P
We have headphones that come from events that never happened(earbuds from the mac comic) and weapons (stranges) inspired by future designs that haven't and won't happen yet(also the mac comic). There hasn't been a real timeline in tf2 ever.
and weapons (stranges) inspired by future designs that haven't and won't happen yet(also the mac comic).
stranges are what?
stranges are what?
That reminds me, stranges are like the blog minigun from the mac comic. Maybe every strange kill is secretly a blog post.
stranges are what?

...and the bullets biodegrade once they hit flesh, leaving nothing behind but a blog post. Bullet will update blog with kill count? In real time, sir! I do not have blog. The bullets are programmed to set one up for you! I like this gun.
However, Meet the Engineer predates the Mac Update by a long shot. Nice try.
i hope tf2 comes out for linux soon
I had some steam issues (it stopped responding whenever I tried logging in) and had to reinstall in a new folder. Thing is I have to copy/rename the old folder and delete the current one, but it keeps giving me the same problem. Any fix? (I've already tried deleting the clientblob thing, didnt change anything) I want my games as I have all of them downloaded and installed :/
so if you have a piercing huntsman in mvm and you are ubercharged, your arrows collide with yourself and break the moment they are shot. [thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/mvmbow.jpg[/thumb] which leads me to think that if arrows didn't have special code that removed collision with the owner, snipers would kill themselves everytime they shoot a+
However, Meet the Engineer predates the Mac Update by a long shot. Nice try.
Damnit, I guess I could argue that that one predicted strange parts but ehh. Anyways continuing timeline stuff: The heavy losing his minigun to get his minigun, the promos from alternate universes and by far the most inconsistent: The viking hat. :V How was soldier wearing the hat when he kicked your ass, when it is in fact your ass who has gotten the hat for him? How does the ass consistently get the same viking hat despite several parallel asses having already gotten the same hat? Why is the Soldier wearing a hat that an ass touched?
I bet a lot of projectiles have this same bug lolol That's the kind of fix for that "bug" I can appreciate.
It would also likely have Rocket Launchers with 100% faster firing speed (leading to an almost non-existent attack interval) be able to actually fire rockets continuously without having the rockets immediately blow up on your face. Just something minor to note (since no Rocket Launcher in normal/MvM gameplay has that kind of attribute). Edit: Come to think of it... If you have a mult_postfiredelay attribute to a non-1-clip, non-melee weapon, and set the value to 0 (inverted percentage), it doesn't instantaneously fire all of the ammunition at once, which means there must be a minimum attack interval time cap... Does anyone know on what the minimum cap for the attack interval is?
