well tonight was disappointing
I was expecting a little more than promos being put up to date with trade/craftability.
Even a couple of fixes would've sufficed.

You lucky bastard, that's the BEST pizza!
I want to have Domino's pizza for every Thursday's dinner.

Actually, I'm fairly certain that this is just a bug with the piercing attribute. It just seems like a Huntsman issue because Huntsman is the only projectile weapon that can get a Penetration upgrade in MvM.
In normal gameplay, the Huntsman harmlessly passes through friendly players without shattering. The Sniper himself is technically within that group of friendly players.
In MvM, if the piercing attribute is given to the Huntsman, it checks every player that it passes through to see if it can keep going. Friendly players are treated as per usual; but an Ubercharged player will block it entirely, regardless if that player is friendly or enemy. So a Sniper with a penetrating Huntsman will not be able to shoot through an Ubercharged enemy, an Ubercharged teammate, or not at all if he is Ubercharged.
You're probably on the right track, though personally I think the "peircing" attribute simply switches sides. If you shoot a teammate with the attribute activated, it plays a hit sound. But you're probably right about the uber.
I bet a lot of projectiles have this same bug
lolol
I think the flare has it too.
Few times I arrow reflected a sniper from behind simply because the projectile spawns inside of himself and the airblast range "touches" it

Actually that happens with every reflectable projectile.
What's happening is that the projectile is changing direction and you push the victim into it before it can travel far enough.
I've had it happen against players on a few occasions. I'm pretty sure that if you slowed a projectile down enough, you could get hurt by running into the back of it even if it wouldn't make sense to (such as a rocket or an arrow). It just isn't going to happen in normal gameplay, the only non-modded projectile I can think of is the Giant Charged Soldier who fires crockets that travel slower than snails.
Hmm. Just got back into the game and traded for the Pyrotechnic Tote. Anyone know if there is a team colors fix planned? The yellow on the fireworks clashes all to hell.
Most likely it always supposed to be BLU robots against RED since the start.
But when it was time to start shipping the actual update, they had to come up with interesting plot twist in the lore. My guess is that the team in charge of marketing the new gamemode (basically the team in charge in writing the trailer and the comic) either didn't have much to do with the programmer's team or they were given plenty of freedom to develop the storyline in any way they'd like, without having to worry if it would match the final product of not.
I'm pretty much speculating at this point, though.
guys
they have red robot textures
they're probably gonna have different teams do different mission types

Things like Payload, Retrieve the Intelligence, or Offense Special Delivery could probably work well with a defensive team of Bots. A bit like group instances in MMORPG games. I also imagine that this type of gamemode would both feel very adventure like and storytelling, and would also be a gamemode where I imagine the Engineer bot would fit right in.
So while the Red team gets the job of defending Mann Co against the swarms of attacking robots, Blu team gets the job of leading the counter attack against the robots.
strange frying pan will never happen
strange frying pan will never happen
Considering that it's a promo item, yeah, pretty unlikely.
I think that there should be a item like the Strange Part called the Strange Converter.
It works like this: One reskin + one original item as a strange = Strange reskin.
How about a strange awp? Would that be possible? Considering it's a promo...

PLEASE NO
I wish you could just add kill eaters to weapons. Maybe not make them strange per-say, but I want a Headtaker that counts kills. I have a Strange Eyelander, but I like the Headtaker way more (even moreso because of its new sounds), but I'm kind of stuck either "wasting" kills or using my Eyelander.

Well, I think I should add some context.
If the reskin has something added to it, like the Holy Mackerel, you can't use a Strange Bat to make a strange Holy Mackerel. But you can use a strange Holy Mackerel to make a strange Unarmed Combat.
Also, if the item is a stock reskin, you need atleast one stock to turn it into a strange, like a strange Bat.
Also, it can't be traded, not even with gift wrap. You have to give all the part seperately (the tool called the Strange Converter, the reskin and the strange). Why? So we don't have another situation where traders sell everything for it.
Offense Special Delivery
HAARP needs to go official.
I want a strange conscientious objector
I don't really see that happening either
I just want a strange homewrecker so I can attach a sappers destroyed to it.
Strange Homewreckers aren't even out.
i thought they were added in the last crate
lol
[editline]14th September 2012[/editline]
Oh, they weren't.
even when it's released, it's not going to count either of those without parts, as it's set up to accept both of them as strange parts.
