imagine if it was like the mannco update. 65 items.
Including a few gems from last year within that number I'd say it would be pretty satifying.
imagine if it was like the mannco update. 65 items.
dat dapper topper, nappers delite, hard counter and skinless rocket jumper
dat dapper topper, nappers delite, hard counter
Best hats from Mann-conomy
Best hats from Mann-conomy
snaggle, softcap, attendant, wiki cap and chieftain all the way
Adding in old gems like the Mystery Meat, La Calavera Caliente, Creature from Loch DeGroot, Dullahan and Baleful Beacon along side a lot of stuff from this year would be a pretty good Halloween Update on the cosmetic side of things. :v:

They have potential to be used for some pretty interesting stuff. Wanga Prick and Unarmed Combat aren't so hot. The Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker is excused because it is related directly to the boss and the event surrounding him.
Is steam down for anyone else?
Is steam down for anyone else?
Maintenance of some sort. Can't really check what exactly since the forums are giving me database errors from downtime. EDIT: From SPUF
We are presently experiencing intermittent network outages caused by faulty hardware. We're working to install replacement parts as soon as possible.

We replaced the faulty hardware last night and made some configuration changes at the same time to remedy the network issue. We're publishing new server software at this time. That did start at 0800 as planned, but hit a snag. The public effect of the publishing process probably won't be visible for another 15 minutes or so.
I'm curious about that "new software" publishing thing. Does that mean they're introducing a new dedicated server format or reinstalling the old type on the replaced hardware?
TBH I wouldn't mind reskins of promo weps. It's because I don't like promos. DON'T JUDGE ME.
The Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker is excused because it is related directly to the boss and the event surrounding him.
the horsemann becomes stronger and faster with each kill? no reason the headtaker doesn't deserve unique stats
the horsemann becomes stronger and faster with each kill? no reason the headtaker doesn't deserve unique stats
The Horsemann instakills with each swing. There's no 15 hp healed, there no max speed boost, he just slaughters people. The reason they made it a reskin is because the materials needed to craft the thing are limited in abundance. Each player gets, at-most, one Unusual Haunted Scrap. If it's not used to craft the Headtaker, then they'll never get one without trading. But to be honest, I would have preferred it have stats, it's just that the distribution method that they used dictated that it had to be a reskin.
fair point. though personally I would have made it a bottle or skullcutter reskin screw that, you should be able to choose the already-existing stats for any reskin. It's not like valve didn't throw all their own development ethics out of the window already.

It could be one of several different weapons. And then they won't find out what it does until it kills them.

So, who thinks we're getting haunted metal reclaimed this year?
Having a single weapon be able to have the stats of any number of weapons would be far too confusing.
that was the joke
that was the joke
there was a joke?
So, who thinks we're getting haunted metal reclaimed this year?
Still got mine. Also, maybe they combine Halloween and Mannco update?

So what's all this about Valve working on some new compiler or something?
So what's all this about Valve working on some new compiler or something?
I believe AyesDyef went to Valve and heard that the TF2 Team doesn't like how some items on the workshop are compiled wrongly, so they want to make something that will make everything easy to compile. I think.
with this compiler coming "within the next few weeks" very easily see Manniversary 2 being used as a way to advertise it. Last year Manniversary was used for the Workshop, the year before it was used for the Mann Co Store.
When will the Medic and Scout Dr. G weapons come? I've been waiting 8 months
I try to forget they exist. It makes the sadness go away.
I still have never gotten a satisfying reply about why people think they'll for sure be in at all.
Unsnipped, WAS thinking of the right game after all. Weren't they designed by the weta workshop themselves? Seems kind of like wasted effort after VALVe brought the concept of making a bunch of set items forward.
