Weren't they designed by the weta workshop themselves? Seems kind of like wasted effort after VALVe brought the concept of making a bunch of set items forward.
right, but they were submitted to the Workshop, which really suggests Weta and Valve didn't strike any deal, and that Weta just went ahead and made items and submitted them in case Valve ever wanted them. Sure, their past relationship and fans wanting them to get in will make it much more likely, but to me it doesn't seem a certainty, just a probability.
i don't think that they will add weapons.. manniversary, halloween or christmas. these stuff are hard to balance and spuf 'masters' go crazy. when they add a perfectly balanced weapon, spuf 'masters' call it op.

Disregard SPUF, acquire lasers.
Brief update on that Mann Up ticket exploit situation. DF responded to Hell-met saying that while they are aware of it, he's skeptical of the exploit actually working as described.
Looks like some science is going to be needed.
When will the Medic and Scout Dr. G weapons come?
I've been waiting 8 months
I don't really like them, and don't see why everyone is creaming their pants over them. There's plenty of other sets I want more.

I'm sure everyone here would be willing participants for testing this glitch for free tickets......for science of course.....not the free tickets at all, oh no no no....
I come here once a week and simply say "grordbort crates anyone?"
and then i leave

Likely they're siting for it to be a problem. Which means the details of the exploit should be released sooner, rather than later
I really think you should be able to get the Haunted Scrap once a year.
Like, if you already have the achievement, you get it from your cauldron or whatever once the event starts.
The Valve Store has Scout and Pyro plushes. No codes for them, but in case anyone wants one, there are your links.
In defense of the Monoculus event, the comic is one of the best (if not the best) In tf2.
Is one of those that really got me a good chuckle.

Yes... the release of the NECA/Valve products begins...
Meaning it's only a matter of time until the Heavy/Pyro figures are released...
Well Weta just added some amazing dota shit with exclusive ingame items

The Heavy, Pyro, and Demo are supposed to be released in the first wave of TF2 figures.
Pyro plush has gorilla arms
I'm sceptical since most we have on the weapons are the concept art
with this compiler coming "within the next few weeks" very easily see Manniversary 2 being used as a way to advertise it. Last year Manniversary was used for the Workshop, the year before it was used for the Mann Co Store.
Makes me wonder if they'll ruin the paintable item's paintability, like they did with some hats last year (looks at l'inspecteur.)
Pyro plush has gorilla arms
The arms are actually the right size when compared to the Pyro's torso. He's just got really short legs.

Are you speaking from insider information here? Because if you're right, then you're essentially warning us in advance that these updates will all suck.

And considering we've only got ten new weapons this year, four of which were promo's, that's pretty damn terrible.
So, for those of us (like me) who don't know what's going on behind the scenes, can someone explain the new compiler? Having no prior item creation experience, what does it mean for the future of TF2 community items?
pyro's brother

I have this guy, he's fucking humongous (for a plushie).
Like, the size of my laptop (when closed).
And it talks.
I love it so.

Repost for new page.
I don't remember what page it was exactly, but someone explained how it was good in the emporium thread. From what I understand, they currently have one guy checking three good workshop items a day and seeing if the files can easily be accepted in game, but with the compiler, they can check around 200 items a day, possibly leading to updates with more items (unfortunately, most of which will be hats or miscs if what testinglol said was right).

Well, I don't have problems with hats and miscs, so I actually don't mind this. I hope they do the Manniversary with this.

Oh well, at least that'll speed up the process of having them make new weapons!
...But then that'll mean more reskins. OH NO.
I can already sense at least a 1 GB size increase of the game's total size with news of that new compiler thing.
