(and give it to the Short Circuit or something)
No, no, no. The problem with the uber drain mechanic is that it drains uber, not the weapon it's attached to or the projectile it's attached to or anything else. The very idea is pants on head retarded. It should be scrapped. Unfortunately, Valve can't be assed to scrap terrible mechanics completely, meaning we get the Sandman and Natascha and that kind of thing.
So, do you guys think we'll get a new weapon by 2014?
So, do you guys think we'll get a new weapon by 2014?
$10 says it'll be a reskin
$10 says it'll be a reskin
Silly man, you know those don't count. Honestly, the future of updates adding new weapons looks fairly grim.

Short Circuit On Fire: Generates an electrical field that destroys projectiles and does slight damage to players Destroying a certain number of projectiles fills the "Shock" bar. When full, the "Shock" bar shoots out an electric beam that does three times the normal damage and gets rid of 3-5% Medigun charge on victim The "Shock" electric beam does not hit multiple victims, but one strong beam that hits only one person No reload necessary Per Shot: -35 ammo Uses metal for ammo No random critical hits This sounds like a nice little buff, plus it wouldn't give you the Uber drain until you filled the "Shock" bar, and even then you need to aim the Medic, as the "Shock" bar's electric beam doesn't hit multiple people.
I hope they add SVDL's Kingmaker stickybomb launcher and make it so it uses those spiky ball projectiles he made for it. Charge up the shots and have the projectiles hit enemies to deal damage. +300% faster charge rate, 'spikies' deal damage and knockback on hit, can maintain charge shots indefinitely, downside is it's not a sticky bomb launcher. Maybe it could give some more health or something too. I think it'd be a fun, if gimmicky alternative.
999 and 1000 are two different ranks. Did you get a double kill or something?
Guess that'd make sense. I never actually knew that. Pretty nice touch.
Well, today is thursday. We're not expecting any promos, but I do think well get a bug fix patch
Well, today is thursday. We're not expecting any promos, but I do think well get a bug fix patch
Champ stamps due to get fixed next patch hopefully.
Champ stamps due to get fixed next patch hopefully.
But gorilla arms are funny.
Champ stamps due to get fixed next patch hopefully.
how come that gets fixed and not the new Postal Pummeler? [editline]27th September 2012[/editline] also where are the Red Tape animations
how come that gets fixed and not the new Postal Pummeler? [editline]27th September 2012[/editline] also where are the Red Tape animations
Fixes pretty much -need- to go through the workshop after being pointed out to valve now apparently. and i dunno about the red tape. apparently they forgot em. or maybe they never made them in the first place wooooo spooky
but the Pummeler fix was notified to Valve and is on the workshop. They really need a better system for getting item fixes from the creator noticed.
They should have a category for fixes.
Valve and Nexon are meeting to discuss a partnership with the Asian distribution of Dota 2 So obviously NEXON AND VALVE MERGER CONFIRMED OMG: http://venturebeat.com/2012/09/26/will-asian-online-game-publishers-nexon-and-ncsoft-buy-blockbuster-publisher-valve/ ...lol game media
I honestly don't understand the hate for the TEN-FRICKIN'-PERCENT uber drain. Not 30%, not 20%, but a mere 10%. If your heal-target is doing their job, they'll mow the guy down easily enough. The main reason I like the drain, is the way it can be used (last I checked) to stop the cheapest of all ways to cap intel on Turbine (and other maps): the uber-in-the-vents-drop-in-and-break-EVERYTHING-with-only-two-guys way. Short of having an uber'd pyro, there is litterally nothing you can do to stop them from killing everyone and dropping 2 or even 3 spread out lvl 3 turrets. At least the pomson gives a snowball's chance in hell at stopping the attack. Maybe just modify it to drain actively being used uber, rather than uber mid-build.
I don't know why they didn't just remove uber drain... the cloak drain is fine. I'd like to see the projectile speed upped too. Now that it doesn't need to move slow to penetrate, it could really use it
Well, worms are coming out soon. There is smalk chance for promo.
maybe we'll get a surprise release of the new compiler. ...or that'll just wait for Halloween to be released.
Maple story promos pls.
Maple Story is only available to play through Steam in the United States, AFAIK.
Maple Story is only available to play through Steam in the United States, AFAIK.
That never seems to have been a problem for promos before
Would it be all that bad?
Would it be all that bad?
Even a fungus feeding on engineer's thigh fits more than the pocket purrerr.
Tonight's a night
what's wrong with the pummeler
what's wrong with the pummeler
Have a comparison pic
The Pomson having the ability to penetrate players is completely fine. It's the drains on the most important mechanic in the entire game that was the err of every Medic player whenever there was a Pomson Engineer in the vicinity. The hitboxes being the size of a truck don't help at all. I'm a Medic main, things kill me. It's something that's to be expected. Having my Medigun lose 10% of the Ubercharge that I had built up is not only unexpected, but it happens to slow the game's pacing by staggering pushes by an extra number of seconds (it stacks up, especially if it causes a failed Uber pop that directly leads to the death of the Medic or his combat class teammates.) The Pomson's Uberdrain has the same amount of threat to a Medic as a Sniper does. A competent Engineer would be able to force the Medic to pop before he even rounded the corner if he wanted to actually use his ubercharge, which gives even less time for the Sentry to get taken out due to travel time (this isn't accounting for the Engineer's teammates who might want to help out).
And it's also really fucking annoying as spy. [editline]27th September 2012[/editline]
I don't know why they didn't just remove uber drain... the cloak drain is fine. I'd like to see the projectile speed upped too. Now that it doesn't need to move slow to penetrate, it could really use it
Why is the cloak drain any more 'fine' than the uber drain? They both disrupt key components of medic/spy.

They both disrupt key components of medic/spy.
I think its cause those two "key" things are what often kill engineers. I mean I used pomson to delay an ubercharge or force a medic to pop it early and for spies to come out of their cloak early. The thing is, it feels Valve either makes a weapon to balance out an already unbalanced weapon or do half way nerfs that make the weapon pointless to use
