I fear tonight will be unplayable.
EVERYONE is gonna wanna play, the update will take 10 eternities to download...
All in all, i think i'll wait till it dies down to actually play it.
This is TF2.
Obviously the next update is going to continue this storyline, with an alien invasion.
I knew i wasn't the only one who was thinking about aliens
I imagine Valve will reveal another comic after we've killed X robots. I doubt, they've killed off Blutarch and Redmond just to mark Gray as the villain. Unless Valve relies on their time machine wizard, without Blutarch and Redmond, there's no canonical reason for RED and BLU to fight each other after the bots are defeated.
Best case scenario, there will be another comic filling in the gaps and hinting at the next update with more proceeding TF2 lore. But I expect they'll hit some sort of reset button (if immortality machines exist and respawn exist, surely Blutarch and Redmond can come back) or introduce more characters that give them more flexibility with future updates to the game and its canon.
TF2 was initially a very static game, and the stalemate-between-RED-and-BLU fluff reflected that. But the more Valve got into the updates, the more things they've shaken up.
It'd be good if they respawned younger, like they were in that family photo and with slight amnesia.
'Where were we?'
'Fighting. Probably for 150 years!'

If anything, MvM is the "end" of TF2, and the normal gameplay just takes place before it all.
Aaand we're back to our regularly scheduled V8 programming.
And we're back!
Welcome back guys. No more autolock worries.
No! It was my moment to shine and you took it from me you ninja!

thanks a lot autumn
If there is music that plays during the final boss of the MvM gamemode I will mod it to this:

And it will be glorious.

Now we just have to wait for ned to get unbanned.
I think we can all agree that Orkel is a terrible moderator.
No, he's doing what he's supposed to do, making sure everyone follows the rules and unfortunatly ned broke them. Orkel ain't a terrible moderator, just incredibly cruel.
I think this is where Ned came up with the thread title:

For anyone who is tired of googling Central time, you can set it up as an additional clock in Windows (7, at least).
Can't wait to fight those Cog sucking robot bastards!
This thread needs more Demoknights!
What's a good download region for those of us in the US?
To find the best non-populous download region, re-download and re-remove a small game (<500MB) and keep picking different non-populous download regions. I am going to be posting my speed results from non-populous servers maybe sometime next week when I gather enough download servers.
The downside is that you will have to keep signing into Steam for each speed test. But I mean if you have nothing better to do for the next 1-3 hours, why not.
