Medieval is a blast to play. Set up two 1000 man peasant armies and have them fight to the death on a tiny little bridge for hours of amusement. I bought it years ago, but if I were to recommend a TW game that's just fun to mess around in, Medieval's the best.

alright here's why

You get the Shako for only owning Napoleon
You get the two coats if you only own Empire
You also get the Spy coat if you own Medieval or TW Battles (but you don't get two)

If you only own Napoleon, that's why

Except, Either of those games ONLY gives the Demo Cape, and not the Spy Coat
What the Hell Valve.

I have to say this seems like the most Screwed up promotion I've ever seen them do, which is a shame because I really wanted some of these items, the DemoCape and SpyCoat Specifically

So, just to be TOTALLY CLEAR:
If I buy Empire: Total War, I will recieve the Medic Coat, the Spy Coat, but no Sniper Shako?

it seems those haven't dropped quite yet, only those given by Medieval have

this is pretty crazy. Even when fixing the problem they manage to screw it up. I assume now that the store page officially says you get the Spy AND Medic coat, they'll give them to you, you just have to be patient.

It's funny because on the store page for shogun there's no word about the promos at all while on the medieval page there's "Owners of Medieval II: Total War, will receive the King of Scotland Cape for the Demo in Team Fortress 2 and the Medieval War Helm in Spiral Knights. "

And then as I wrote this post THEY CHANGED IT.

"Owners of Total War Battles: Shogun will receive the King of Scotland Cape for the Demo in Team Fortress 2 and the Medieval War Helm in Spiral Knights. "

Yeah, no, it's TOTALLY cool to jack the price up AFTER you make it clear what you're actually going to get after purchasing the game.
I wasn't going to buy it JUST for the promos... but I'm not interested enough to put $10 more into it.
Unless it gets a price drop, looks like I'll be trading around for that Medic coat...

I never had to for Rome, no. I'd assume it's just a matter of Valve not distrubiting everything individually yet

After yesterday I just said fuck it and bought the pack, may be more a bit more expensive as I already own 2 of the games but its sure simpler.
