That would be a nice zing--if you didn't have 47.9 hours played in the last two weeks. Poor TF2 is sitting all lonely with a measly 1.4.
You're kidding, right.
He is somewhat right in some parts:
Dota 2 is the mix between two of the most annoying communities: TF2 traders and Blizzard players.
Unless you play in private with your friends you will have a very bad time, and getting items is a real bitch because everyone overprice any single item.
The game is a true gem and shows the work Valve put in games, but the players are just imposible to get along, makes you sick.
I wanna enjoy Dota 2. I really do(ta 2). But I'm bad at that kind of game. I love the characters, they seem to be well written and very amusing (Drow Ranger is my waifu) but I'm all "ok so I click on this, shit I'm dying what's that button for my ability aaaaaaaaaa".
But this is a TF2 thread so get back on the line.

Yes, Dota 2 fanboyism.

Doesn't mean I'm not a TF2 fanboy still. I just don't enjoy playing it as much as I used to. Namely due to drama on the one server I used to frequent.
But still, what does it matter to you? I'd fight in both TF2 and Dota 2's corner. Why are you making such a big deal about "hurr i have a lot more hours on this than that, GUESS THAT MEANS I'M A FANBOY."
It's trying to cause drama/threadshitting.

And derailing a TF2 thread with Dota 2 refuse isn't?
You're the derailer here. A throwaway comment compared to a comment actually attacking someone.

Huh, I wasn't aware calling someone a fanboy was a personal attack when it's fairly obvious he is rather enamored with the game.
Anywho, a bit of on topic speculation. Redmond and Blutarch Mann were introduced to TF2 three years ago, during Halloween. I have a feeling they might combine Manniversary and Halloween this year, featuring the now ghostly brothers.
And before someone says "but that takes place in the future!", well, they could always set that map in the future.
Men, let's cease this pointless bickering.
EDIT: Actually, I do have a question. Is anyone still finding MvM interesting? I've kind of ran out of people to play with...

You used it to elicit a response from him/someone. Which someone did. Well done. Can we stop threadshitting now and make a pregnancy machine?
what's that, spec.thread? HALLOWEEN is almost upon us?!
I would love Blutarch and Redmond to be the bosses this year, and they work like this:
Every so often, the brothers are spawned and start attacking their enemy team. Every aspect of the game stops (control point(s) disabled, gift dropping stops, etc.) and the team cannot do any damage to the Mann brother attacking them, but the other team can (as in, BLU can't hurt Redmond {who is attacking them} but RED can hurt Redmond). The teams cannot kill each other and if a player goes too long without doing damage to their respective boss (excluding afk) they will be killed and put into a 1 minute respawn. The point would be to force the teams to save each other so they can continue playing the game as usual.
It sort of represents that the teams would kill the people who made them start fighting simply so that they can continue fighting the endless war.

That's a neat idea, although I think the halloween "boss" this year could be a shit-ton of ghosts. Think about it, MvM was recently released, and the blog is a ton of ghostly hands. I would think it would be a shit ton of ghosts with low HP come out of a graveyard or something and if they touch you, you die. [sp]or get teleported to a spooky dimension like last halloween[/sp]

This bothers me to an astonishing degree.
I want to be excited for Halloween, but, honestly, I'm a bit stretched thin by the TF team's shortcomings.

It's the ghost of everyone.
No, seriously. All the times you've died? Those ghosts are coming back to haunt you.
wow over 500 cosmetics. I remember when there were only 9 hats. We've come so far

Oh good , good old times:
Im still remember when I got my first hat (mining light) it was a Egypt round and I was playing engi for the first time ever. The whole server just stop for the hat drop and everyone got very excited over the mics shouting "go go! Put the hat on and show us!" Both teams stop the skirmish for a good 15 minutes of joy.
Still got my little baby and now is and old proud hat.

See, if they just canned their misbegotten attempt to capitalize on the MOBA craze, they could assign those 100 or so employees to other, more important projects. Like Ricochet 2.

Oh man that reminds me when I dropped the Fancy Fedora when the external idling program was out. When the Halopocalypse began and the blog post came out saying they'd remove items I panicked. Luckily it was still there when I booted up, and to this day he is the grandfather figure for my other fancy spy hats.
Still didn't get the Spy coat.
I guess I'm just waiting for Steam Support to respond now.
there's around 179 tf2 items
