Dancing frank is going to have to be in the op now
so many people cried when you got banned
I was on the server we all went to when that happened lol. It was like a line of 12 or so sollys shotgun saluting, and one Bazooka guy making fireworks lol. Someone said they recorded it, did anyone ever upload the "Salute to Ned" video to youtube? It was quite funny.
Im just bored of the robosandvich and his high value so im going to rename mi sandvich as unusual organic robosandvich
So who's up for some weapon stats discussion out of the blue?
Stats discussion: What I want for christmas edition.
I want a new knife with an interesting effect.
The explosive touch:
On backstab a lethal explosive charge is planted on the victim.
Explosive charge can be detonated anytime afterwards (no delay).
Explosive charge is destroyed if the spy dies or the target goes to resupply.
Explanation: The spy can now wait until a target is in a big group of enemies to kill them. The explosion damages nearby enemies a lot (75?) and can ruin someone's day pretty well. The downside is that you had to bump into an enemy without killing them to put it on. If you just detonate it once the enemy saw you then you basically just used the stock knife but with a loud exploding sound and a chance to damage yourself.
It would also make stab and sap a lot harder because you'd need to back away before detonation. On the other hand you could scare a stabbed person into a nest to damage it.
Good idea? Bad idea?

this issue isn't taken care of yet. I hope it's just a matter of letting the promo "cool off" so to speak, before it becomes craftable.

Bad idea - it punishes teamwork.
Bad idea - it punishes teamwork.
It's really no different than a spy chain stabbing a team facing one direction. I'm pretty sure the charge would have a visual representation, so his teammates can tell him about it.

Yes, and I also think that it would probably not be very fun if you realize you've been tagged but the spy gets away. What will you do? You can't really go back to base or your teammates, no point in trying to get close to the spy either since he can just kill you... No point in continuing fighting, since the spy can kill you mid combat.

Even if you know about it, you can't really do anything about it except go back to spawn (at which point you might as well have died for the time it'll take) or avoid your team entirely, lest you let the spy deal a ton of damage.

Teammates melee attacks can knock off the charge?

Who will want to if the spy can blow him up and deal damage to the people around him? It would discourage and punish teamwork.

After the charge is placed it has a small cooldown?
After the charge is placed it has a small cooldown?
Oh and... what if the guy's working with the Spy? It would be very easy to grief with by making yourself a remote controlled suicide bomber and fucking up your teammates on purpose
Well it's very easy to grief with a lot of weapons, not a very good point.
I had this odd idea in a dream last night, I just remembered
Basically it was a Demoman item called the "Sword of Lord Lycenadope"
Was a sword that slowed Demoman down as its downside (-15%) and had slower swing speed (-25%).
But once Demoman got 5 heads, the sword's curse instantly kicked in (he can't control the timing). Demoman would use his howl taunt, flash bright white with a full moon particle floating over his head, and would change his model into a Demoman with very hairy arms, and "real" versions of his Halloween costume, a real wolf head (still wearing his beanie so hats still work), real wolf legs and werewolf claws. He'd be instantly healed to max overheal. In this state he also can't be healed by Medic or Dispensers, he has to rely on Medkits.
While in Wolf mode, a full moon particle floats over your head (like mark of death) to help you be identified. You can't change weapons, you're locked to a special weapon called the "Wolf Hand" which is just Demoman's Saxxy animations with a large wolf claw modeled over his entire arm. This is his only weapon in this state. It's special power is Demoman starts clawing slowly and with less damage, but every successful hit of his claws charges them +5% damage and +5% swing speed until he's at max 25% damage and 25% swing speed. There's no way to lose this bonus (missing just doesn't increase it).
Demoman also gains an additional 10% run speed from each successful melee hit, totaling a staggering +35% run speed (remember the sword loses speed still). Eat kill "feeds" him +25 HP (like the Power Jack)
This power lasts 30 seconds, or until Demoman dies (remember, he's still just Demoman with Demoman's health, plus some overheal, which still decays). Once the time is done, he goes into his stunned pose and flashes back to Demoman and remains stunned for a half second or so (basically enough to finish the stun animation)
Yea, kind of a complicated weapon, but in my dream it was wild seeing Demoman start glowing and out comes this beast that starts ripping stuff a part, but then when he's done he's totally vulnerable with a stun and lowered speed.
Be a riot in MvM where heads are easy to get.

Who the hell thought that was a good idea.
It's a freaking sculpting program. It produces models with millions of polygons. It's only good for making normal maps which 95% of the models in game do not use.
