http://puu.sh/VUv0 Here's what spawns the bots, holy shit that's confusing.
where are the templates?
where are the templates?
/scripts/population/example/
We need a FP server with the giants actually giants.
I'd really like a dota-esque gamemode for this, just pushing the bomb into the enemies base. The bombs respawn back at their teams base kinda like a flag and you can spawn stronger "waves" of bots with dosh.
We need a FP server with the giants actually giants.
I've never had a problem differentiating bots from their giant counterparts, I think their hitboxes would be too big to do some maps.
You can edit the amount of money you start with, a giant only match would be amazing.
We need a FP server with the giants actually giants.
Make the server use custom population scripts so their Scale is 3, they'll be as tall as the underpass of the bridge by the carrier on Decoy.
Valve really should make the game create the server, like how it works in L4D and Dota 2. Maybe someone could actually be able to play.
I've been able to play just once since the release, after having spectated for another hour in-game waiting for a player to leave, when a guy finally left I did beat 4 other spectators to joining the team before the slots were filled. Not soon after that though everyone got kicked and the admin put a password on the server. Not exactly the experience I was looking for. Maybe next week huh. I was hoping they'd use a L4D-style system, I could easily host games there.
If you read the example one, it kind of explains it easier.
The first 2 lines are a lie though, tf_populator doesn't exist.
what exactly runs the pop file the tf_logic itself?
Make the server use custom population scripts so their Scale is 3, they'll be as tall as the underpass of the bridge by the carrier on Decoy.
Where do you set scale?
what exactly runs the pop file the tf_logic itself?
No idea, there's a manifest file as well, I think it's like pyrovision.
what exactly runs the pop file the tf_logic itself?
tf_populator, but its not in Hammer. Isn't there a way to add entities to Hammer?
you can manually, but there will be no settings to choose from got to wait for valve to update the fgd, sigh.
tf_populator, but its not in Hammer. Isn't there a way to add entities to Hammer?
It's not in tf2 either.
Where do you set scale?
You have to add Scale in a new line with the other attributes. You can also add BehaviorModifier, which can make it an Idler (stands around idle until a player gets close or injures them) or a Mobber (picks a random player and chases them down, regardless of where they run).
It'd be epic if we (mappers) could put Upgrade Stations in custom maps of other gamemodes. Sure, it could potentially fuck up balance, but it'd be interesting.
It'd be epic if we (mappers) could put Upgrade Stations in custom maps of other gamemodes. Sure, it could potentially fuck up balance, but it'd be interesting.
they work in normal tf2, but there's no money to find or use
freeedooommm Oh god, it was like I was a ghost. I was stuck in this thread, I couldn't view any other thread but this one.
they work in normal tf2, but there's no money to find or use
Make cash drop from kills?
freeedooommm Oh god, it was like I was a ghost. I was stuck in this thread, I couldn't view any other thread but this one.
yay
they work in normal tf2, but there's no money to find or use
Perhaps with an entity (or server mod) that enables killed players to drop cash for the other team to pick up, Upgrade-based maps could become a reality!
freeedooommm Oh god, it was like I was a ghost. I was stuck in this thread, I couldn't view any other thread but this one.
Welcome home buddy. We missed you
they work in normal tf2, but there's no money to find or use
Can mappers drop money?
Man, the chaos Valve made with this update. Why didn't they just sell hats like every other update and skip this splitting the community up silliness.
Perhaps with an entity (or server mod) that enables killed players to drop cash for the other team to pick up, Upgrade-based maps could become a reality!
There's ways to spawn money, but they don't give any cash.
yeah item_currencypack_custom I don't see how money drops from killing real players is possible outside of a plugin
tf_logic_mann_vs_machine is the entity that makes it MvM. Robots won't spawn though.

lol, the sentry buster is technically a caber demoman with a few bonuses and visuals and they planned a jarate sniper, but it didn't make it oh god the gnome
