So you can get one of the new robot HATS from a random drop after a mission, not just on completing the tour. My friend got the scout robo hat after our 2nd mission!

just a regular old free mission?
I wonder if they changed it after complaints :x
You can do the infinite sentries thing if you change mvm_upgrades.txt from
"17.3"
{
"attribute" "engy disposable sentries"
"icon" "achievements/tf_engineer_freezecam_sentry"
"increment" "1"
"cap" "1"
"cost" "500"
}
to
"17.3"
{
"attribute" "engy disposable sentries"
"icon" "achievements/tf_engineer_freezecam_sentry"
"increment" "50"
"cap" "100"
"cost" "1"
}
And you should be able to buy additional sentries easily and place 100 minisentries plus a normal sentry.
Only on your own server though.
Oh, I thought the bug was back...
why did they add robot sounds to the manifest of all the maps over the last six months when MvM uses all new maps...
Does anyobody else get really sudden server-wide lag that is just pausing every 2 seconds for around 0.5 seconds.

Yes I do.
I think it's the bot trying to cheat!

Heh, the robo demo's crotch smiley is a text emote smile
My MVM server is now up again, no password.
Just type "connect 213.81.69.220" in console. (No speech marks)

Yup same here, thought my computer was dying or something.

I really do think that they were trying to hint at us. I thought they were using those maps too, until they added voice lines to the Manifest.
what happens when you trade away your Mann Up ticket while you're currently in Mann Up mode?

Back up.
Guys, the new AWP is just a reskin of the stock sniper rifle, so don't worry about it being OP if that was ever a problem for you.
That being said, I would've liked to see it implement the lack of aiming dot or a double-zoom feature, but whatever.
hmm, that's different, the MVM voice lines for the bots are MP3's and not WAVs

To tease us. For the eagle eyes.
How do people make the giants bigger?

If I'm not mistaken, they may have been trying to see how MvM would work on Attack/Defense style maps. The format of gameplay certainly supports it that sort of thing.
It'd be a lot like TFC, where instead of multiple capture points, the attack/defense maps relied on the offensive team carrying a flag all the way to the final (and only) capture point. Dustbowl and Avanti being the two most popular maps of that type (and it's because they're stock maps).
the scope on the awp is so ugly...
I don't get the whole mann up/boot camp differences.
Why did they have to differentiate theses servers? If there's mann up servers available but no boot camp, and you want to play boot camp, a mann up server can't accept you. It's dumb.
They should have make it a difficulty setting at the beginning, free of charge. And at the end of mann up, you get a tobor crate, that you can open with a tobor key. So there wouldn't have any differences between the servers, and if you want your item you'd still have to pay.
But everyone could play together...

The crate should be made out of metal.

I swear, someone else that this forum despises said the exact same thing and got multiple dumbs for it, but now when you say it it just sounds good. Maybe you posted it, I don't remember. And it was right after day three when EVERYTHING was getting dumbs.

I think they were trying to stray away from the idea of crates clogging up people's inventories so they went with tickets and vouchers.
Tickets and vouchers should have only affected drops anyway. Use a ticket and get 1 item. Use a voucher and everyone gets an item.
There's zero point in segregating players from one another based on if they can pay or not. The Mann Up mode and Boot Camp having different difficulty settings just reeks of mistakes regarding a segregated community that Valve intentionally avoided with maps by ensuring that everyone could play on them free of charge.
If I want to play Mann Up mode difficulty, I'll just make a custom mission that has the same difficulty as the Mann Up mode waves. I don't want to be forced to resort to Boot Camp's lower difficulty just because I do not have money, at least this way I would not be separated from my friends that do have money.

Boot camp doesn't have lower difficulty. You can change it with a vote. It's just that boot camp servers are usually set to the normal difficulty, and mann up servers are all set to the advanced difficulty.

This whole situation is one of those "What was Valve thinking?" moments. Let's hope that if this turns out to be a bad idea, they decide to change it.
btw , is there anyone with spare beta invite for community thingy ?
