If you don't care for the story, play Arcade Mode. Max Payne 3 was made with a great story in mind, and skipping the cutscenes is dumb.

I already completed the story once and it only bugged me on the second playthrough to try getting the rest of clues and golden guns. Forgot to mention about that part, sorry about that.
Also, can you find the weapons in arcade mode as I haven't tried it yet.
