Aw shit son, what was the conclusion?
...I don't know. I think both are good options. If you want to read the "amazing" debate: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1223593&page=57 Read LaughingStock, Zadrave and my posts
Is there a way to trade someone without them being on your friends list or on the same tf2 server as you? I can't add 3 of the people who won stuff in my latest raffle.
I never use the Flare Gun only because it's so easy to pick up a health pack when you get hit by a flare, unless if you are very far away from it. Shotgun is just straight damage.

I just go all stock, even the melee, as Pyro. It's more satisfying killing someone with the axe than the axtinguisher.

I use the Backburner. Even if the airblast costs 50 of ammo doesn't means isn't useful. Also I tend to attack by surprise or surround the enemy. So I guess is my best option. In fact, I don't normally use the stock weapon but I use the unlocks :v:
You people are terrible pyros.
Stock Pyro is the best.
Stock Pyro is the best.
I rest my case.
You people are terrible pyros.
I'm sorry, I'm a bad Pyro, I deserve a spanking~
I rest my case.
The stock weapons don't rely on cheap gimmicks. Everyone argues that "THE PYRO'S JOB IS TO AMBUSH", and nothing gets that job done better than stock (Maybe with the Backburner).
You people are terrible pyros.
I'm a pro Pyro, with my Phlogistinator and that Sleeping Dogs melee on maps with no water.
The stock weapons don't rely on cheap gimmicks. Everyone argues that "THE PYRO'S JOB IS TO AMBUSH", and nothing gets that job done better than stock (Maybe with the Backburner).
Pyro seems more like a supporter with some disrupting characteristics.
The pyro's job is to set people on fire.
Actually, is kill the enemy and help the team to win. Because with that logic, the shotgun would be useless.
The stock weapons don't rely on cheap gimmicks. Everyone argues that "THE PYRO'S JOB IS TO AMBUSH", and nothing gets that job done better than stock (Maybe with the Backburner).
Faster weapon switch is not a cheap gimmick, it exponentially increases capability to react to changing conditions and ranges, If I'm shotgunning some one infront of me I want to be able to switch and airblast the charging demoknight behind me in time, or quickly flare the medic as he runs because he thinks his heal target has me distracted. Neither does it rely on combos in any shape or form, 10% less damage is nothing to even care about.
People just need to understand that you don't need to use a certain weapon to be a "Good" Pyro. It's how you use the weapons given to you that makes you "Good". That's like saying GRU Heavies are the only good Heavies.

As soon as I switched, I felt more powerful when dealing with Heavies and other hard hitting enemies. Everyone has their own tactic, so use whatever "gimmick" or whatever as you need to kill people.
Yes, but the sad fact of the matter is there no niche for stock flamethrower out side of MVM. Degreaser is an absolute upgrade.
If SPUF wasn't so hypocritical about what's balanced and what's not, the Degreaser might have an actually reasonable downside by now.
If SPUF wasn't so hypocritical about what's balanced and what's not, the Degreaser might have an actually reasonable downside by now.
Spuf is hardly the reason the degreaser is miles ahead of stock. I honestly don't think anyone at valve takes what the spuf pyro forum says too seriously.
Yes, but the sad fact of the matter is there no niche for stock flamethrower out side of MVM. Degreaser is an absolute upgrade.
I disagree. The decreased damage from the Degreaser along with the decreased afterburn damage, in my mind, makes it better for dealing with enemies that have fire resistance with the faster weapon switch . The stock is good for finishing off enemies.

I use Backburner because I like to support and take the enemy by surprise. Just like I do with most classes. Having a companion to distract the enemy is a good idea. When comes to use the airblast, even if it cost 50 ammo, much of the time there is ammo available around the map or I can pick it from the bodies.
Okay so i've taken care of the cock. Who else needs dota 2 lovin?

The Slayer's Arbalest + Black Mesa's Crossbow sounds = satisfying experience.

The problem is when comparing stock to degreaser there is no noticeable different niche, you could argue that it's niche is puff and sting or combos, but there is no significant enough amount of damage decrease to make it reliant on the combos. Or in other words, the degreaser supports more playing styles than stock, but has no real detriment to using it as if it were the stock flamethrower.
