The problem is, we started talking about TF2, then we started with a little off-topic when nothing was happening on TF2 (Which the idea should be avoid posting and talk with someone on Steam or in another social software). The mods said it was okay a little off-topic, but we abused of that and basically off-topic is considered on-topic here.
We are lucky for not being banned, even "Pagekings" "My automerge" is considered banneable by some mods.

Well this could be considered a social place so we can really discuss whatever sometimes, but the thread is still labelled TF2 General Chat so going off the topic is always running the risk of being banned. Risk wont go away until the thred goes back to how it was, or the thread gains a "and Offtopic chat" in its title, which will pretty much ensure it will be like this till it gets to the point where no more are allowed.

Pretty much. People have still been banned for being offtopic on a page where theres plenty of other offtopic chat at the same time, its a bit off the mark on whats offtopic here. I talk about trains, but I only ever post like 1 picture, then someone asks me something about it and we talk about it. Id still rather TF2 discussion get done, but just going offtopic every so often is good, and im sure every chat thread has it happen. Here, its just backwards.
