Pyros can kill easy. Take them out.
Scouts are too fast and hard to hit. Take them out.
Heavies have too much health. Take them out.
Snipers can kill you from far away. Take them out.
Spies have a one-hit-kill. Take them out.
Medics can heal teammates. Take them out.
Demos can set up stickies. Take them out.
Engineers are campers, and don't have to do anything. Take them out.
Yay Soldier Fortress 2.
As a Medic I typically have this problem with Scouts and Soldiers.
Really, all you can do is constantly check your back and try to catch an ambush before it happens. Don't stare in any one direction for too long.
People actually say I run really weird in that game because I'm constantly turning around as I move.
Of course, your problem as a Sniper is that you're typically going to be alone when you get ambushed while as a Medic I'm healing someone else who can kill my aggressor for me. My recommendation would be to either pick a different class that's a little more group-oriented or get out the Huntsman and stick with your buddies.
To keep them from ruining your day: try not playing :O
To not get killed: be a pyro yourself.
This. I've had so much fun shredding circle-strafing pyros. Even better is when they go for my medic and ignore the fact that I'm jamming bullets up their ass.
If the pyros alone, and backup aint comin any time soon, then he's being smart doing this. A competent pyro knows he probably cant beat a heavy with a medic, so he aims for the medic to try and take him out. That way, when they die, the heavy is now medicless(if it worked right), and a sitting duck for when the pyro's team mates show up. The sandvich counters this somewhat, but that still leaves the heavy somewhat defenseless.
It's not that hard to press, S

We seriously need that as a razorback replacement.

Well played sir.
Soldiers are the pyro's natural enemy in TF2...
Use rockets and aim for the feet, if they begin airblasting them, change to shotgun and take them down. It usually only takes 2-3 rockets to kill a pyro....
1st rocket launches them a few feet
2nd rocket you can hit them in mid air if you're good enough or wait half a second and shoot at the same spot, they will fall down onto the rocket either killing them or juggling them back up into the air, 3rd rocket away!
Well simply be more vigilant of your surroundings, from the likes of what i read; it seems you are sick and tired of pyros sneaking up on you and killing you. Just keep looking around, i do it all the time and catch spies, scouts, and yes even pyros sneaking up on me. You just have to be much more paranoid, it worked for me.
There is a reason why they aren't easy to kill. They are the master of close-quarters combat. From a distance they are useless.
Not necessarily. I am as deadly with the Flaregun over distance as I am with the Flamethrower in close quarters.
As a soldier aim at or feet, it makes it a bitch to airblast the rockets back.
Also when walking for a long time, aka spawn to last point, turn around occasionally, because I can get a lot off kills of unaware travelers.

Bunnies have chainsaws. Take them out.
Am I cool nao?
I just wanted to get a few dumb ratings...
Pyros are kind of annoying to me sometimes.. like how they seem to outrun me as Scout, and other stuff... But they never make me irate, as ALL Pyros, no matter how good, can be killed at long range. They can't dodge every arrow, they can't deflect ever nade and rocket, they can't predict where every sticky traps are. Pyro is just another class. Good Pyros deserve to be good. M1+W Pyros might get a lucky kill or two, but with vigelance, you can easily dominate them.

All I do when I'm a soldier is launch a rocket at their feet, get out my shotgun and shoot them twice while they're in the air.
There's a thing called teammates.
I use the Scattergun on my Scout to take out Pyros one on one. Why? Because if you can stay out of the Pyro's range while continuously blasting him with the Scattergun, you can easily take him down. It takes timing and precision, but you can get it down without being scratched. Although, this only really works on maps like Dustbowl or Gravel Pit or Hydro - really any place with nice open spaces.

Spectators can teleport to preset parts of the map, haha fuck them.
Menu Fortress 2.
The new regen rate of the Medic with the syringe gun holds afterburn back quite a lot, so you have enough time to search for a medkit. That's great.
As a 'skill-ful' pyro myself, looking for pyros and other close range classes is always a thing you should do, Just get paranoid as I am, especially when I play Heavy. I check every corner possible for spys or pyros. But I agree with you, it's not the backburner pyros that is the worst, it's the airblast ones, like me :D.
