I was so excited to take part in because I had replay ideas.
But SFM only.... I can't SFM at all. It's overwhelming, and I can't make anything worth anybodies time.
This is a damn shame, but I guess the people who worked hard in SFM will get something to show for it.

The TF2 team has been pumping out updates and cool stuff like crazy.
I doubt there will be replay awards this year, probably gonna be SFM only this year to show it off.
I hope there still are categories for in-game replays.
Also if the Saxxies are aired on GT.TV, that means that the secret thing between Valve and Adult Swim is still unknown!
Ugh, dammit. I've spent over a year planning to be able to use Replays this year, and I haven't learned to use SFM yet. All my SFM ideas are only, like, based off a few days of thinking, not months of pre-planning with an accomplished coder and mapper with a Replay idea.
I guess I'll be given more freedom with SFM, but it's not the same. [I]Especially[/I] since I haven't had a chance to use SFM and there are people who have used the beta for months, and who know how to animate well.
I have good ideas, but I don't think I'll be able to pull them together in time with no experience in SFM.
Any Valve IP? That really expands on it. Would love to see what they do with this.

I always thought that we could all work together with the replay thing. We still can with SFM, but it will not be the same. We could have the person who made the idea for the video, the animator, the map maker, the person who made the stuff that was needed (custom weapons, custom map objects...) and voice actors. Only way I could see it.
With it being SFM, I have no chance in winning a golden half naked Australian.

I don't get it. Is there some magical way to switch maps mid-video? I'm going to need more than one set for my video, which would require me stitching separate videos together outside of SFM. What can I do?

I think that rule only applies for Best Original Universe.
Public domain music I can see being used for every other category.
As a participant I'm kind of bummed, I have a ton of difficulty using SFM.
Super excited to see what everyone else does though, especially when they have four months to work on it.
