This "AcesGamer" character sounds like an enemy to the DPRKFC.
Without doing any research of any kind, I conclude that DPRKFC is "The Democratic People's Republic of Kentucky Fried Chicken." amirite?
really wish i could say my opinion really, i do, but i dont wanna get in trouble with steamrep. im not allowed to say anything bad about community admins even though i don't even get access to admin stuff on the steamrep forums but uh they're all cool!!!!
Don't worry, we can flame them as much as we want in the private section. They can't find us there~

Meh. AcesGamer is an okay guy. There are times where he can be a complete douche, but compared to others, he has a reasonable attitude. The bottom of the trading barrel is TF2Outpost. Shitty administration and constant crashing- that's all it is. Half the goddamn time I get a 503 error. Moderators lowball hats and ban people for the silliest reasons, which is just downright wrong. The only reason I use that miserable excuse for a trading website is because TF2Bazaar has too few people and TF2 Trading Post is broken. (Come at me TF2OP) As for SteamRep... well, I can't say anything about that site because I've made mistakes and got marked multiple times. If I give my opinion of how they run their site, all that'll do is make people flame me.
As for SteamRep, the only problem with that site is that they're too strict with their marking system.
Says the guy with 3 marks and multiple reports of scamming/impersonation http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198057308970
Everyone makes mistakes. (And some make the same mistake multiple times)
I scammed this one guy 68 times BUT IT'S NOT FAIR THAT I HAVE A "WARNING" LABEL ON MY STEAMREP PROFILE FUCKING COMMIE BASTARDS I BET WASHINGTON IS SPINNING IN HIS GRAVE RIGHT NOW
Speaking of steamrep, why is the site so god damn slow? Takes like 10-20 minutes to load up a single page at most.
Speaking of steamrep, why is the site so god damn slow? Takes like 10-20 minutes to load up a single page at most.
Lightning fast for me, are you sure it's not you?
I scammed this one guy 68 times BUT IT'S NOT FAIR THAT I HAVE A "WARNING" LABEL ON MY STEAMREP PROFILE FUCKING COMMIE BASTARDS I BET WASHINGTON IS SPINNING IN HIS GRAVE RIGHT NOW
You have it easy. I've scammed 83 people and I got a permanent IP trade ban.

If you first are marked for nothing, the only way to get rid of it is appealing to appeal for a ban, and when you finally are in conversation with an admin, they are talking to you as if you've murdered somebody, no matter how minor it is. I'd love to see Steamrep just disappear, it'd make trading easier. Also I like how you checked out his steamrep page just because he doesn't like it.
Umm, what's so bad about acesgamer? I mean- Ohmygod he's such an idiot.
Speaking of steamrep, why is the site so god damn slow? Takes like 10-20 minutes to load up a single page at most.
Server location and a huge single database cause slowness.
What's steamrep? Ace is a dick. They go on valve tf servers (Where usually new players go to play) and yells at the teams. Besides that, their tutorial videos are shit and don't teach anyone anything. So not only is Ace a dick, he's a dumb dick.
I'd love to see Steamrep just disappear, it'd make trading easier.
How would it make trading easier?

Steam support is slow and sometimes incompetent, so steamrep fills the void for scammer reports, but I believe steamrep and its admins of the involved communities have too much power. I know there's people out there who didn't scam, but somehow got marked. I feel in the dark a lot with its workings there should be public proof of some sort for everyone marked. I witnessed a case where Gigabyte was able to get someone he hated from school marked because they both logged in at school and he claimed the other guy was an alt. IP address is not sufficient proof for me, especially because I login in hotels and public places and such. IP can be changed so easily too. I like the rep thread system much better for steamrep. If someone doesn't have a rep thread, and someone wants to post something about them, they can create the rep thread for them. You can be the judge of who is a scammer that way. I like seeing positive rep much better than no rep which according to steamrep, I don't have any "rep". When in reality I have a good reputation of having been trading for a long time, gave refunds to people when something I sold them got deactivated. I don't like people such as Acesgamer and Daem0n(Edit, it looks like daem0ns not an admin anymore). Acesgamer wouldn't stop talking shit about Gigabyte/Retro for a long time, and I'm not sure if he's done yet. It was already a known point that Gigabyte/Retro scammed, but continuously insulting and trolling him is overkill. i'm not quite sure why you kept talking with him, if you hate someone, you don't have continued communication with them. Daemon's attitude/constant sarcasm gets on my nerves, admins should act professionally, not like most 12 year olds. Also, what is up with admins having some random woman for their avatar. Daemon, Acesgamer, Jailbait and plenty others have this. I think they do that just aggravate people or some shit I dunno, feel free to clue me in. Maybe my avatar aggravates them.
I'm not a SteamRep admin though, neither am I a middleman anymore. Also, I'd hardly call what I do "sharking" if it's a ladder trade where only ~10~20% profit is gained per trade. Look for people who are willing to overpay for an item because they need it. You know, supply and demand?
I'm not even sure what sharking is at this point, there's virtually no difference between sharking and trading. In both cases, you seek out people who will trade items you want, preferably for less than community set "value". "Sharks" don't care how experienced the other is with trading, they just want to profit. Traders don't go out of their way informing the other person of the value of their items, they want to profit from the trade too. Some people will just pay more to save some time so they don't need to waste any more time with traders like you and can get back to the game. I don't see how changing my trade style to only make 10 to 20% would be better in any way. I was able to make someone's day back in December by buying a Warhammer 40 k space marine cd key for $18 and trading it for a peace ten gallon. Both parties got exactly what they wanted. "Supply and demand?"
I thought that it's one guy
It's the singular they. [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline] I try to make a habit of referring to people by they/their as opposed to his/her or whatever.
You have it easy. I've scammed 83 people and I got a permanent IP trade ban.
Get out.
What purpose does that serve?
It's a personal preference. I don't like to referring to people's gender unless they've talked to me about it.
Some people do it because they don't want to make the common assumption that everyone on the internet is male. Pretty silly in this case considering it's firmy established that he's male. That or Ace is a sharking Geth platform.
I call women guys and guys women It's funny to see how mad they get.
Well they ARE too strict, and their system is complete bullshit. Thank you for your reasonable attitude.
As much as you guys dislike Ace, this probably belongs in the General.
Umm, what's so bad about acesgamer? I mean- Ohmygod he's such an idiot.
Man, I can't imagine making videos like that. It looks like such a haggle.
Also, I'm sure about 75% of the people who trade for unusuals and normal shit doesn't give a rats ass about Steamrep because it's a pain in the ass to go and look over and over again. Only really useful for big unusual trades
Steamrep is scary I never get offers on my hats and then I'm scared that I was framed or something as a scammer and that nobody wants to trade with me then I go and check and I'm clean but what if I'm really not and they're just lying
I don't understand why people are hesitant to share their rants on SteamRep (with the exception of Reag/eddy-tt and Shadiko). If they did mark for having an opinion, then that'd be bad PR, and they know it.
"SMG sucks, don't use it" "Soldier isn't important so he's good on the battlefield for new players" etc I really hope no new players have actually watched this. They haven't saying anything coherent or useful, they didn't prepare for the video, and most of all they aren't actually teaching the player the class. A good starter video should go over each class, their weapons and what they do, and then go over tips. Then branch out to other alternate none-stock items, etc. Ace does none of this and they're a terrible person.

First, we WILL NOT MARK ANYONE without solid evidence. Period. This actually frustrates a lot of people when we reject a report due to lack of evidence. Of course you would love SR to go away if you're a marked scammer so you can keep scamming people in peace. So sorry, bro, that we're keeping you from stealing from more people. Also, I have no idea which admin you talked to regarding your appeal but we are all very professional and the appeals admins thoroughly research every case to make sure that innocent people are untagged quickly. I'm sorry that you perceived professionalism as them having an accusatory attitude, but that says a lot more about you than them. Also, to the person who thinks it was a conspiracy- I assure you it was not. I got a lot of private messages on Reddit asking me TO do a counter AMA. Considering I was actually really, really nervous about posting it as I really didn't want to deal with any abuse, I was pleasantly surprise that there was very little of that. Trust me, if I were going to do a publicity stunt, it would be much bigger & better than just quietly posting a Reddit AMA. Think fireworks, Super Bowl ads, parades, etc. ;) [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline]
I don't understand why people are hesitant to share their rants on SteamRep (with the exception of Reag/eddy-tt and Shadiko). If they did mark for having an opinion, then that'd be bad PR, and they know it.
We absolutely DO NOT mark for having an opinion. We only mark for scams, and they *MUST* be supported by SOLID evidence. Also, I talked to Reag today and both he and Shadiko know that they both can come to me anytime with any concerns or frustrations they have with the site, and I will work my butt off to get it resolved. :) I take my "job" as an SR admin probably way too seriously for my own good and I really, really work hard to continue to make SR better (as does my husband!) [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline]
Also, I'm sure about 75% of the people who trade for unusuals and normal shit doesn't give a rats ass about Steamrep because it's a pain in the ass to go and look over and over again. Only really useful for big unusual trades
And then they get scammed, and I process their report. :( So many scams I process are from people who are already marked. The person didn't check SR and they got scammed. So honestly it's more to protect yourself than anything else. Why would you put yourself in a position to get scammed? With the quick-switch scripts and Steam trade exploits, it's just not worth it to not check, IMHO. [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline]
I agree with every word you said. Thank you for your reasonable attitude.
SO NOT SURPRISED that you would post this, Mr. Traitor/Team Deviate member. Do you really want me to go on and on about all the complete and constant BS you fed me for months so you could get unbanned? How you directly tried to manipulate other people through me? How the second you thought you could get back into the scamming game, you tossed some buds at Adrian only to have him betray you YET AGAIN? Oh yes, PLEASE have you and your friend continue to bash SteamRep. Because manipulating me wasn't enough. Because making my life harder wasn't enough. And now that you have had to take a break from scamming at the moment, you and your buddies have to bash the website. Really, what did I ever do to you other than offer you advice and listen to you? Nothing. And yet you "repay" me by using me and then having you and your friends bash the site I work on EVERY DAY. Yeah, you two are SO trustworthy. That's sarcasm by the way.
