Gigabyte, you have earned the title of Evil Hat Hippy Scumbag in the DPRKFC. Congratulations you hat-stealing scumbag.
Real mature there, pal
Real mature there, pal
I have zero respect for scammers.
K then, fuck me for asking.
After the first date, honey.
Well, I'm tired of posting in this shitty post. Admin, please get rid of all my posts. (User was permabanned for this post ("Doesn't want to be here - Threadshitting" - Craptasket))
Well, I'm tired of posting in this shitty post. Admin, please get rid of all my posts.
Doesn't work like that.
Scamming isn't a big deal, lol. It's only a game, and it's the seller's fault if he gets scammed. I mean really, you should check SteamRep when doing money trades. Come at me bros. It's okay; I'm the most hated person in the TF2 trading community. Forgot to say that, wish I said that long ago.
>Tired of posting >Keeps posting Also, I doubt you're the most hated person when you haven't even done money scams.

(Also your posts are kind of stupid right now)
Okay, this is false. First, we WILL NOT MARK ANYONE without solid evidence. Period. This actually frustrates a lot of people when we reject a report due to lack of evidence. Of course you would love SR to go away if you're a marked scammer so you can keep scamming people in peace. So sorry, bro, that we're keeping you from stealing from more people.
Well the ban was obviously for almost no reason whatsoever. There was a thread on facepunch called "biggest scamming you've done" (which wasn't scamming at all, *just* sharking) I made a fake picture of my friend putting tons of valuable stuff in trade, and I put in a few genuines or something, and then posted in the thread. A guy later entered the thread, and actually scammed, people called him out on it, then he reported the entire thread as scammers. Naturally everyone else than the actual scammer got marked. Sure, poor word choice for whoever made the OP, still not evidence. I mean, at first people got actually marked as scammer, then they made it a "caution" tag later, INSTEAD OF REMOVING IT OUTRIGHT. Also, wasn't there one point where you literally marked people just for having friends listed as scammers?

I mean, at first people got actually marked as scammer, then they made it a "caution" tag later, INSTEAD OF REMOVING IT OUTRIGHT. Also, wasn't there one point where you literally marked people just for having friends listed as scammers?
No, we have never marked people just for having friends listed as scammers to my knowledge. However, some people who had scammer "friends" were actually not friends at all but their alt. If there was such a tag, it would be removed. I heard about that thread but it was before either my husband or I were made SR Admins. SteamRep has REALLY evolved and changed for the better. Especially since we support Valve's tags now, we are extremely careful about who we mark. That's why it takes me anywhere between 10 minutes to three hours to process a single scam report. I understand that a tag can essentially end a person's trading career so I will not mark anyone unless I have evidence to support it. I don't ever want to mark an innocent person and if I do, I want it removed immediately. *Edit- I also want to add that I am currently the Head Scam Reports admin and I train all moderators & admins who handle scam reports. So my standard of being strictly evidence-based is carried over to the way ALL scam reports are handled on our site. Also, we do tag audits to make sure that the tags we have are there legitimately. One weekend I went through all the caution tags of a particular community and removed 140 of them. :) We are committed to unmarking the innocent and ONLY keeping those marked who have solid evidence against them. If you ever run across a tag you think is incorrect, PLEASE send me a message on Steam or PM me on the SteamRep forums and I will personally look into it.
I discovered Aces earlier on my own accord. I didn't like him at all.
Hell, I don't know why I want to be associated with shitheads like Jailbait, Suttles and le retarded crate guy from Reddit.
Fuck you, die in a hole.
Thank you. :) I do work very hard on it. I am not a trader so I can assure you I don't have any dirty past. I have no problem screenshotting my entire inventory and gift history and uploading it for everyone to see. I've never sharked, never scammed, and I really do this because I LOVE helping people. When I worked in retail in real-life, my specialty was customer service because I genuinely want to help other people whenever I can. Though my husband insisted I stop giving car rides to hitchhikers. :D
That is what I was talking about: Admins out of the shady trading world. The site people never try to work hand to hand with Valve? If they make the best to legalize the site to official standar it would be a nice touch to ensure a pretty good service.
>said I went full retard >comes from a place full of 'em Sorry son, your opinion doesn't matter here. That was also your name on deviantart, in which you made this weird furry art shit.

"You said I am the one who is fully incapable. I suppose you would know, since you come from a place filled with them." Gigabyte said very harshly to the old man sitting across from him. The old man simply smiled, a smile which could best be described as a colon and a parenthesis, and said, "what?" His hearing had deteriorated in age. He let out a small hng sound as he felt his heart stop.
Yes, we got that chatlog as well as several others. We don't go by chatlogs or someone's word. Even screenshots are analyzed to verify the integrity of the image (and yes, we have had people fake reports so we're always analyzing and rechecking everything). There is evidence showing that, at least at some point, Gigabyte did have access to that account. Due to confidentiality reasons, I can't go into specifics. You say "having gigabyte say anything isn't really reliable" and yet you're also sitting here defending him and saying that SteamRep tags people "for no reason." So on one hand you say your friend can't be believed and on the other you say that FACTUAL EVIDENCE can't be believed either. So what exactly can be believed? Just whatever you choose to believe or make-up? [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline] Absolutely scammers know about SteamRep and they are the ones who scream about how SteamRep isn't reliable, SteamRep marks people for no reason, etc. Even when we have solid evidence to the contrary. It makes sense. The best way for them to keep scamming is to start rumors and lies about SR so people won't check the site and they can continue to steal from people.
It appears my post was confusing, Maybe this will clear it up a little. That is good you analyze your proof well to make sure its legit, I'm not surprised people try faking to get people banned. Not that Gigabyte's word is worth a damn to anyone, but So far he has not lied or been dishonest to me as I've been trying to help get out of his craze for a while. I don't know what's confidentially about the proof that he had access to that account, Gigabyte sure as hell doesn't care if I know the "proof" considering I know his real name and where he lives. IP addresses aren't confidential considering every website collects them. I don't believe steamrep really tags people for no reason, but theres no way all the tags are perfect and everyone marked is a scammer, sometimes mistakes are made. Wasn't there a cluster F when UHC went down and UTC inherited the bans, yet did not save the data or proof of the people who got marked during UHC. When there's confidential proof, it should have a simple summary of why they are marked that doesn't expose anything really confidential. For example, "logged in 20 times on the same IP as a known scammer (Gigabyte http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198057308970)". I don't think I'm defending Gigabyte or not trying to be, he's just an example. I know he's a scammer and deserves to be marked 10000 times for his sins. I also believe that he was able to get people he disliked banned as the only proof posted was in http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/76561198057308970-legigabyte-sr-scammer.1741/#post-5606 which occurred right before he left the school where those two were from. I don't think scammers care about steamrep in reality other than amateurs like Gigabyte who keep screwing up in different ways. Recently he got a new account and reset his internet modem to get new ip, logged into tf2op, and the later on accidentally logged on to his old account on tf2op and thus got his brand new account banned. It's a waste of time for scammers to do any dealings with steamrep when its easy to buy a keylogged/phised steam account on a sleezy forum for $2 that is not marked on steamrep. As shown by this thread, nobody listens to what scammers say about steamrep due to their bad reputation, scammers are not going to convince people not to check the site. Scammers are just going to be prepared for people to check the site and continue to steal until Valve gets serious about this shit and starts hardware, ip etc banning.
To gig: I like how you went from an almost apologetic "oh pweease give me a second chance, pweease add a pawoll system wike in weal pwison" to acting like you'd continue scamming and that "it's just a game, big deal". It's not just a game any more, for some it's a second source of income. A lot of people sell their items for cash, and when you scam people, you're practically stealing money from them. A burning flames hard counter in game is 90 dollars in real life. I don't get why you would even think that for a second you would get untagged. I know you were acting sarcastic when you said you scammed 83 people, but I BELIEVE you actually did. You were part of a group that not only scammed and harassed people (some to the point of crying), but part of a group that made over 1k euros over scamming. Parole may work if you were were convicted of vehicular manslaughter because someone jumped in front of your car in pitch black midnight, but for fucks sake, do you expect to get any freedom if you gunned down 83 people and put on a mask of false regret? bull fucking shit. The fact that you were in TeamDeviate/TeamVedetia makes you guilty by associaton, regardless if you took part in their scams or not. I'm glad that in the end all of them were trade banned and after #3 fucked over #1 the whole diseased corrupt temple that is TeamD-whateverthefuck collapsed on adrians head. To hell, the lot of you. You, TeamDeviate, and Scamming in general is
why did everyone make this thread about some random scammer and not the actual person the thread was about? I bet he's happy everyone shut up about him [editline]24th July 2012[/editline]
The cloudy moon dapper dopper is an in joke. one time Adrian tried to scam me but he had a Rukia avatar and I knew he was a scammer after about two seconds since I refuse to take cash anyway so we just talked for about half an hour it was nice.

What's a UHC scammer? Two of my friends are marked as that, one of them saying he didn't deliver a single weapon for spycrabbing or something. :S
What's a UHC scammer? Two of my friends are marked as that, one of them saying he didn't deliver a single weapon for spycrabbing or something. :S
Unusual Hat Club - a now defunct trading website and server that used to be the ultimate source for all things unusual New people can't get marked as uhc because uhc no longer exists.
You're asking this? Really? When you stand as the #1 REASON why that won't ever happen. What happens the second you think you can get back in to scamming? YOU START SCAMMING AGAIN. Your actions answered your own question. Because of people like you who only want to manipulate others and the system for your own personal benefit and who don't care about who you hurt as long as YOU get what YOU want, programs like this are nearly impossible. It's like the guy who gets out of prison and robs a bank two hours after his release. And everyone then screams about how the parole system is flawed, etc. YOU are the answer to your own question. Clearly some people never change their ways. Of course you'd do anything to get unmarked because you want to continue to steal from people. You only care about yourself and getting what you want. Friendships mean absolutely nothing to you, and clearly you just want to hurt as many people as you can just so you can try to continue doing whatever the heck you want.
What about me? I scammed once and now I'm banned from all trade servers and even /r/tf2trade. I have been changing my ways and i want to get back into normal trading. I have done mulitple sucessful paypal trades, but its not like that means anything as that is really the only way i can trade. People won't even allow me into their highlander teams for "We don't allow marked scammers". So yes, I think a second chance system would be a lot better to give guys like me a chance to actually prove that I can trade safely now. For example, If you commit a crime, and you go to Steam Rep prison, you can never leave. There are no second chances. Nothing. However if you commit and crime and then go to an actual prison, you get a chance. TL;DR Make a second chance system so people who scammed just once get another chance to do good.
