Didn't try the new RL yet because I don't have 3 direct hits.. The new scattergun is bad imo or just doesn't fit my playstyle at all: it's weird running so slow and not being able to jump, makes me a sitting duck. The pistol is okay, makes your shots more accurate. The new sniper is okay aswell, still didn't get used to the focus thing/didn't make good use of it because I was playing on the DD map which isn't that good for sniping. The Scorch Shot is meh, couldn't ignite a big group though

Scorch shot is absolutely terrible. New scattergun is an entirely new style based on being a low-flying high-speed jet. Focus on the new rifle is devastating if you're a decent shot. Not a lot of commentary on the SMG or pistol yet.
Pistol has a satisfying sound effect, and that's all I can say about it. I haven't used it enough.

Basically the same, except no rainbows or bubble blowing, and more straight Pyro is a badass fire wizard

I like using the pistol because it cancels out the downside of using the Sandman, and doesn't take away that much in return (or maybe I just don't mind the additional fire weakness). I also tried the new Sniper and just ended up getting confused. Being 'focused' triggers a sound that sounds like the ray guns, gave me mini crits, and then made me start shooting machina style tracer rounds. I though it'd just make my meter charge faster and prevent me from unscoping. I need to try the gun in a controlled environment.
is it just those two that don't? The scout and sniper weps seem to glow fine, haven't see a bazooka in crit mode yet, and the new equalizer thing uses the eq's VMT, so it should glow.

My bad; It just has the same electrical crit boost effect when you have focus active.
Wy does the wiki states that you can craft the sets hats with a weapon from the set + 4 Ref? I hope they're wrong, otherwise Valve scammed me (tried it when the update was here, doesn't work)

The Heatmaker's still a fucking weird weapon. It's like they applied a bunch of sfx and effects haphazardly. The sound for getting focus is the Bison firing, the boost to show you're focused is the generic crit electricity, and it carries over to other weapons. The tracer is a little annoying but at least works from a balance standpoint. Maybe I'm just annoyed by stupid things.

Either way, I don't think the Rainblower having a taunt-kill is too much to worry about. It's nowhere as egregious an upgrade as the Medic melees and the Third Degree. While we're on the topic of fixing things, Ned you're kinda buddy-buddy with that Jeep fellow now right? Maybe now that the major update is out of the way you could turn up the pressure to get some good workshop fixes in to the next series of post-update patches?

Having her refer to it as "Australium" and constantly talk to Poopy Joe is kinda jarring. I dunno, maybe it's just me.
