Nobody is saying it's gamebreaking, I'm saying it makes the weapon unique, that it's not a true reskin, that it's closer to being an actual weapon and the taunt effect is the upside, while Pyroland is the downside.

And maybe the Rainblower's taunt isn't a "taunt" either, and it's actually an unlisted attribute.

You can turn off pyro land your self so your downside theory is invalid. I want an option be cause that thig takes up half the screen and the "flames" that it shoots are way to big.
The Amputator's taunt happens to have a special effect that heals people. Taunts that kill you happen to have a special effect that kills people. Drinking is classified as a taunt. The Ubersaw can give you 100% uber with a taunt kill. I don't understand why you're trying so hard to defend the rainblower and pyroland when pyroland does make things a little hard to look at while the rainblower is an upgrade to the vanilla by giving it a taunt kill.

Hell, the rainblower's taunt can go through walls. Is it viable? Is it practical? No. Instant kill taunts aren't made to be but I'm probably sure it's the best damn taunt kill in the game right now.

Pyroland wasn't supposed to be a downside sincie this effect is also on goggles which doesnt have any upsides. Valve just made mistake adding tauntkill to this reskin.

Man, I want new Mediguns to actually get in game. Really waiting on that Grodbrort Medic set. Scripting my own from scratch just doesn't have the same appeal to it :(
I'm gonna have to agree with ned here, although I definitely see simski's point. Permanently tying Pyrovision to those cosmetics makes switching to it much less casual, if that makes sense? It's like saying, "don't consider this a legitimate reskin. consider this a ticket to Magic Angel Baby Paradise." They probably want to want to keep Pyroland a novelty instead of just another option, like changing sprays or whatever. It seems counter-productive, but I think making the goggles togglable seems like just a step away from allowing permanent Pyrovision in the basic options menu. In other news, I'd always got the impression the candy cane was actually just a painted lead pipe or something. No real evidence than the default hit noise, though.

I wish it was, like they actually designed it that way and it looked like that. Remember all that reskin stuff I said earlier. I'll make one exception, the Candy Cane. It's the only weapon in the entire game I want a reskin for. Actually, I want them to go one further, I want them to make the reskin the default, and make the Candy Cane the reskin.

I still hold that 7/9 might be interesting for us all.
Now that I know they can just mass give everyone a clone of an item (ala the escape plan), they should totally just do it for the Candy Cane. Give everyone the new weapon (with the same stats as the Candy Cane), and then remove the recipe for the Candy Cane, and make the Candy Cane the reskin of that new weapon :)
Here's a suggestion; just add the taunt to the stock flamethrower. EDIT: Well why not? I'd like to be able to fire taunt without using a flamethrower that is.....less than visually appealing to me.
