I don't know about you but when I actually buy a game and get promos, I keep them to show I like the game
Because that's the whole point
The stupid thing is some of the promos I have I never use, so I just let them sit and rot in my backpack.

Well I have that too. I doubt Valve will add enough cosmetics slots so I just switch hats and miscs from time to time :v:
It's like the medic completely overshadowed the pyro.
He got an amazing 'meet the' video that everyone agrees is better than MTP.
He got a valve set with game-changing stats.
Everyone else got items (except the engineer).
and he also got a meet the medic taunt(something Simski badly wants for the pyro)
I think that you just had your expectations raised too much by meet the medic and are feeling down now because the pyro got reskins.
and then, quick fix.... :c
No, YOU want that in order for it to fit your idea of what you consider balance. All I want, is to be able to see the rainblower taunt in the normal world when I'm using it, at any cost.
I can't believe valve hasn't just used the idea of interchangeable taunts for weapons, this may be a late post but it saves for less bickering in the future. I'd like to choose which taunt I want to use for my weapons, for example, pulling out a guitar as an engineer and getting a taunt kill with my stock shotgun.
Taunts shouldn't be limited to a specific weapon with how customizable tf2 is now a days (with all the hats, action slots, taunts, etc.)
._. they forgot to set the Rainblower's crit sounds...
I thought it was a bug, they just straight forgot...
[editline]1st July 2012[/editline]
actually, looking in the files, they never actually make crit sounds for it.

I swear I've heard it crit
it does, it just uses the regular flamethrower crit sound, so it's a little jarring because there's no transition or anything
[editline]1st July 2012[/editline]
I also finally figured out the visual cues, it seems the rainbow swirls slower when it crits, which is still really a bad visual indicator, but it does have one
How would the sound thingie for the Bootlegger sound, is there any demonstration?
Is there a console command to enable Pyrovision?
How would the sound thingie for the Bootlegger sound, is there any demonstration?
I'm trying to think of a way to fake it to show it off. Trouble is, the sound is only suppose to play one leg, so I could modify the cleats' sound, but the leg with stock sounds would sound off, so it wouldn't be totally accurate.
How would the sound thingie for the Bootlegger sound, is there any demonstration?
From what I know there isn't some kind of demonstration video, hearing the sounds alone doesn't do it justice. It pretty much sounds like a boot and a peg leg, exactly what the Bootlegger is in the first place. It's nothing that noticiably distracting.
I did a small little mini-mod to see how it would sound like, so I replaced the bell sounds of the Jingle Belt or the Bootie Time, mostly because the Bootie Time was the only footstep changing item I had from what I could recall.
If anyone is interested in hearing how it sounds like themselves, I could put the mini-mod up to download.
You could put it up for someone else if they're interested, personally I am lazy as fuck and therefor rarely mod my games :v:
all you'd need to do would be to change the cleat's left foot sound to the bootleggers. It wouldn't sound quite right, and it would be on Scout, but it would show them in action.
Alternately, we could wait for Armisael to figure out a probably far superior way of faking it.

In order to get rid of the Scout problem, just use the Baby Face Blaster, reduces Scouts Speed dramatically, as well as getting it closer to the regular speed of a Demoman, but let's not forget Demomen can go faster if they get more heads with the Eyelander, so it doesn't need to be entirely accurate.

EDIT:
TOBOR was on Foundry. Backwards it was ROBOT.
Foundry has an achievement, The Crucible, where you have to win 137 rounds.
137 taken as a date is 13/7. 13/7 or 7/13 (reversed) is July 13th.
July 13th is the last day of that conference.
sd_doomsday has an achievement for 138 wins, so what does that mean. ;o

Oh yeah? Well then, what about this?
137 can be separated into 13 + 7, which equals 20. The Meet the video we just had, Meet the Pyro, was the last one. One. 1.
What does 1 + 20 equal?
21

13 + 8 equals-
dear god

lol you know how Pyroland items appear in killcams?
Same for Pyroland versions of regular items. Jinglebelt was bottles in my non-pyrovision killcam...

Copy the attribute off the cleats to the bootlegger, overwrite the sounds? Seems pretty simple to me.

Demoman's right boot is now a cleat!
Saw this ingame, before:

Has ned's dreams come true? (Or was it craft, I can't remember)

It was drop and had a recipe, so only half a dream!
Now we need the halloween community items and the treasure chest! And a recipe for the Lollichop and Rainblower!

Don't expect me to do this tonight. I'm gonna try to render 4 minutes of footage in the next three hours, and I'm not sure that's even possible.

this is some sort of bug, there's a tf_ command to enable pyrovision in spectator mode.
Why didn't they make the baby bottles a Pyroland misc for Soldier/Demo/Pyro?
- It would give Demo and Soldier another way into Pyroland, their only other discrete option being Balloonicorn.
- Nobody bought the grenades for the bottles, so it won't offend people. It's a move to make right now before people get more used to it
- It's buggy right now replacing the grenades. Missing textures are common, plus the old items look like bottles in the killcam...
- Think of the renaming possibilities.
- In Meet the Pyro, Demoman and Soldier were wearing their stock grenades, but in Pyroland they became bottles. Then why does it require Demoman to wear old timey bombs and Soldier to wear bean cans in-game?
- Personally, I think more cosmetic variety is good.
- ADDED BONUS: For those not in Pyroland these look like stock grenades, so people who hate cosmetics win!
- They're already set up to be regular items, plus iirc they're set up to be paintable already (but aren't because of obvious reasons)
Baby's First Explosives
Level 15 Bottles
+ Visit Pyroland!
- Only visible in Pyroland
Entire team is babies!
Didnt someone on the polycount forums make something ridiculous like a Clown Pack for Heavy? Because that would work for Pyroland now.
