I still don't really like the concept of Pyros running as fast (or almost as fast) as Scouts. Scouts running fast and dealing major damage in close combat is balanced because they have terrible health and their primary weapon still requires good aiming. Fast Pyros would be horrible, because they have more health than Scouts and flamethrowers are significantly easier to hit enemies with in close combat.

We've had downtime every now and then for the past few days and the summer update would've come last week if not for Pyromania (the summer update always comes the week before July 4th.) It's plausible.

It's plausible.[/QUOTE] I still think the summer sale is gonna arrive shortly after the aftermath of Pyromania (Crates and Ash Piles are removed from backpacks, burnt items stop dropping except maybe the items that survived, etc) I really hope it happens.
Banner sounds broken for anyone else? Seen several soldiers play the anim and heard no sound come from them. Seems there's a lot of bugs related to other people seeing/hearing things from other players atm.

It's an odd bug.

By the looks of it the Wee Booties might as well be the bad reskin. Unless you are going in the sense that, it doesn't make sense that a pegleg would increase your turning speed, than it's kinda of non-sensical reskin.
if they gave the bootlegger the sounds it deserves it would be a straight upgrade to the (ugly) booties. I agree though, the Bootlegger might as well be the primary weapon for the stats. it visually beats the booties on every account.

The Demo Fro was not clipping (for me) before the update, though I remember it clipping a lot last year around Uber Update (the last time I had one). Also, looking at this reminds me: Do you think we'll see a new PDA or Sapper within the next year? I had been hoping a Sapper would come with this update, but I guess they just added that slot for the Strange version.

I remember they're being a lot of unused content that just adds extra small details to the game, but Valve simply forgot to implement them at the end. It's a shame since, I always loved small details, it just adds a little more charm to a game.

Two items are decalable, but it's not turned on. A handful of weapons have custom draw and/or reload sounds that just don't work (even if they seem to be set up correctly). Black Box and Original have custom explosion sounds. There's a few unused voice lines still remaining. Engineer has an unused taunt.

It would make it as viable with the sticky launcher as with the targe (since it would have barely any at all effect with the targe), and it would not need a new downside since losing the nade launcher is still a pretty large downside for 50% less self-inflicted damage and +25 HP

It would be a straight buff, but it would only make them a little bit more viable to people who use it with the sticky launcher. It would serve as a different type of gunboats for Demo, that although doesn't give you full immunity to stickyjumping, gives you +25 hp. A lot more unique than simply copying Soldier's gunboats and giving them to Demo. [editline]2nd July 2012[/editline] Many competitive players does after all think that making Demo's able to stickyjump infinitely and also still dealing damage with their sticky launcher would be way too overpowered, so unlike the Gunboats this could not be used infinitely.

i know im late on the tank-being-massive note, but what if the tank model spawns robots? maybe to stop the waves and end the round you have to venture into a really well defended tank base thing and destroy the production lines?
I assume this hasn't already been shared, solely for the fact that nobody else would give enough of a shit to mention such a mundane detail. In the item schema, there's an attribute for the miscellaneous items that count toward assists in Pyroland. The attribute's name is "counts as assister is some kind of pet this update is going to be awesome" :3 e: haha, well at least being late means it wasn't too lame to note

And I think the Engineer had a couple more Unused taunts, one which was similar to his Guitar Taunt, one puking and the other one was him bonking his head, as well as the Soldier and Heavy having a unused taunt, but it wasn't anything interesting just them showing something off.

I don't think you fully understand the meaning of "upgrade", especially considering how you believe tauntkills matter.
