The Lollichop does too, possibly others.
My lollichop is strange, so I cant see its level, but other weps are lvl 1 or 10. And I'm not THAT lucky.
http://tf2b.com/tf2/neodement Check my last page, two differently levelled Lollichops. [editline]5th July 2012[/editline] "In the shop, the item is considered a misc item." This could be why
I'm still wondering how the bazooka bug of randomly hitting enemies even happened.
I'm still wondering how the bazooka bug of randomly hitting enemies even happened.
My thought is maybe the self damage is done by launching an invisible rocket at Soldier?
I guess the Beggar's Bazooka is leveled randomly because it's a Bazooka build out of trash-parts. I... can't really explain my thoughts.
My thought is maybe the self damage is done by launching an invisible rocket at Soldier?
Even if it is, how is it randomly attacking enemies the player can't even see or even possibly fire a rocket at them.
How come the Beggar's Bazooka says it will "misfire" ? Shouldn't it say "backfire" ?
My thought is maybe the self damage is done by launching an invisible rocket at Soldier?
Self-damage doesn't need to be by launching a rocket, just trigger an explosion and there it goes. The Ullapool Caber does it this way, but instead triggers the explosion where the melee hitscan comes in contact with an enemy or wall. My guess is that overloading it and doing the bug made the game assume that it was supposed to be applied to a different player ID, and it used that different player ID to find the player location and create the explosion on an unsuspecting player, either yourself (if you botched the bug), a teammate (who is unaffected), a dead player (presumably would explode where their spectator camera is), or an unfortunate enemy player. [editline]5th July 2012[/editline]
How come the Beggar's Bazooka says it will "misfire" ? Shouldn't it say "backfire" ?
mis·fire (ms-fr) intr.v. mis·fired, mis·fir·ing, mis·fires 1. To fail to ignite when expected. Used of an internal-combustion engine. 2. To fail to discharge. Used of a firearm. 3. To fail to achieve an anticipated result It doesn't need to be changed, but "backfire" is more explicit in what happens when overloading.
How come the Beggar's Bazooka says it will "misfire" ? If they simply explode and turn your face into chunky beef soup, then that'll be a backfire.
odd, on some servers it seems CTF Crits still work, but Valve has them disabled on their servers... why?
odd, on some servers it seems CTF Crits still work, but Valve has them disabled on their servers... why?
Maybe they realized that CTF crits aren't exactly balanced or fun :rolleye:

I thought misfire would indeed cause the rockets to force-shoot out, not nearly 2-shot me with explosions.
odd, on some servers it seems CTF Crits still work, but Valve has them disabled on their servers... why?
I play on the official TF2B server, that one has the CTF Crits disabled too.
been trying to do the bug, no luck. You are supposed to overload in the air or something, right?
I think the enemy has to be standing on a map prop
odd, on some servers it seems CTF Crits still work, but Valve has them disabled on their servers... why?

Maybe they realized that CTF crits aren't exactly balanced or fun :rolleye:
They're bringing the tf2 beta into the full game. Testing if those crits are worth it.
I think the enemy has to be standing on a map prop
So what's the best map to try this in?
So what's the best map to try this in?
Doomsday is good for this.
Hey has anyone still not gotten their Adult Swim promo code for the Robot Chicken hat?
Hey has anyone still not gotten their Adult Swim promo code for the Robot Chicken hat?
I sooner got a response from a Valve employee than I got a response from Adult Swim despite registering well over 2 weeks ago.
Yeah, they said that they didn't even know what to add in the update until they read the community feedback, they showed a bunch of stuff in that teaser video and we basically picked what interested us most, you know the rest. Maybe it's the same thing now, they showed us a bunch of stuff that they weren't sure would work, and we chose and gave them ideas on how it would work, and they are currently working on it still.
They did the same thing in the sniper and spy update, actually. I remember Robin talking about how after they revealed the huntsman, someone talked about the pyro lighting the arrows on fire. They thought it was such a great idea, they unfroze the update code and hastily added it in.
odd, on some servers it seems CTF Crits still work, but Valve has them disabled on their servers... why?
It's not that it's disabled. They just aren't woking at all on vanilla servers with it set as default, such as the one I run, even though the default is 10 seconds.
Hey has anyone still not gotten their Adult Swim promo code for the Robot Chicken hat?
Still haven't gotten mine. Signed up for the newsletter the first day the collab was announced. [editline]5th July 2012[/editline] Wow I got my Robot Chicken e-mail right as I put that.
oh lawd, apparently Robot Chicken codes upgrade accounts to premium now.
Shit's going to hit the fan in a bit, I'll get some popcorn.
oh lawd, apparently Robot Chicken codes upgrade accounts to premium now.
Too bad i won't get mine.. EDIT: YES! I GOT IT
Shit's going to hit the fan in a bit, I'll get some popcorn.
it seems hit or miss, totally random if it does or not. [editline]5th July 2012[/editline] oh hey, just got my code
oh lawd, apparently Robot Chicken codes upgrade accounts to premium now.
Whaaat? Can people still sign up for it? [editline]5th July 2012[/editline] Apparently not.
