Still no tradeable promos? Still no Business Casual fix?

Finally they updated the Hitmans heatmaker debuffing the other weapons! It was so annoying to try and test the new SMG while using the hitmans.

I have to admit, I'm getting a little annoyed at the game's news feed lately. Kotaku's reporting on all these boring movies you knew were coming, and nothing else. I would paint it Balaclavas, but that's not quite the right color, since it should complement his balaclava, not match it, and you never wear a tie the same color as your jacket, so Debonair is out of consideration. I'm afraid Valve realizes that a lot of people have extra codes lying around, and so they aren't going to make these tradeable to punish people like this one guy I saw on Outpost who made 25 different fake email accounts so he could sell each hat for 1 key each and get buds. I don't get why they're waiting to make the QC promos tradeable; I really want that Medic misc. I'm glad I did register several e-mails, because my Gmail account (oddly) still has yet to receive any code, even though I registered it a day before I used my university-sponsored Gmail, which got the code early this morning.

I presume there's no hidden items in the schema possibly relating to a summer sale?

And I only signed up extra e-mails so that I could be sure to get one: it took two days for me to get one for my Yahoo account, even though I signed it up the 22nd or 23rd. And they sent me a second one for that account today, though I haven't checked yet whether that's the same code they sent me last week (it probably is). I keep thinking to myself, "Maybe I ought to give away these few extra codes," but I have a sneaking suspicion most everyone will get a code if they just wait long enough. That Killing Floor trailer just gave me an idea. SD_Bigtop. A circus-themed map with spawns on either side, control point in the center for easy KOTH adaptation, flying trapeze, etc. Now if only I knew Hammer. Hue.

I'll just wait a bit and see what happens.

And he didn't seem to be cheating people, either, given the 15 or so comments on his profile. (Of course, anyone who could fake 1400 accounts also probably has multiple idles, so there's that.)

Give your spare codes to people who want them, or to F2Ps you befriend. Automatically upgrades their account for them.

I'll watch the other areas like /r/SteamGameSwap (which allows people to trade keys after one confirmed trade) or the others that do allow trading (Outpost and TP don't). If things still remain shady, I might consider making a thread questioning where he got that metric fuckton of keys from. Sure, they might be legit and he took all this time to set up accounts, but that'd require 1000+ email accounts, which would take a lot more time than selling them a refined a pop. Honestly, if they are counterfeit codes and people are paying a ref for a hat that Valve might delete, I don't really care that much. If you sat around for five days and didn't get a single code, it's really your own fault. Maybe if the hat were more visually interesting, I might think: "Yeah, it would be a pity for someone to want that hat and not get it because of some e-mail malfunction," but it's an ugly hat that only "reps AdultSwim".

Ethics isn't exactly a point you can argue.
